"Everything about this place was 10/10! Food was delicious, customer service was top tier, and accommodations were clean. Everything down to the refreshing scents of the robes, no detail was missed. I had an over water villa with pool. The pool was clean and cleaned again during my 3 day stay. Highly recommend if staying in Zanzibar."

"Nothing at all to complain about regarding the hotel, it was excellent, but just note that the bay and the tide makes it not ideal for swimming/bathing at all times. But on the other hand, there is a looong pool available, so if the idea is to exercise swimming, this pool was excellent."

"Nous avons passé sans doute nos plus belles vacances dans cet hôtel. De petites cabanes pleines de charme, posées directement sur la plage, offrent un cadre intime et authentique au milieu des cocotiers. L’ambiance est apaisante, proche de la nature, et tout est pensé pour se sentir privilégié.
Le personnel est remarquable : attentif, accueillant et toujours aux petits soins, mais jamais envahissant. Les excursions proposées sont tout simplement magiques : nager avec des dauphins, faire du...

"Great location on the beach, very clean, eco-friendly. Delicious breakfast, helpful staff.
GPS led us astray on our first night driving there so we got quite lost, but it was well worth the drive."

"Our stay at Ocean was nothing but tremendous. The hotel is worth every dollar, the staff is just the kindest, the location right on the beach and the facility is clean and well designed."

"Beautiful resort. Interior, resort grounds and the rooms were impeccable but what made this resort exceptional for us were the staff. Everyone was just so attentive, friendly and helpful. A special mention to Halidi at the kid’s pool, such an amazing young man. Him and Jafari were just brilliant with our little boy. Elizabeth at the beach bar. What a wonderful person. Honestly, some of the nicest people we’ve met.
The resort itself is located in quite a secluded area and a distance away from a lot of the excursions, this wasn’t an issue for us but worth noting."
"We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Zanzibar and would highly recommend it, especially for families or anyone looking for a relaxed break rather than the more touristy feel of some of the other beaches and resorts.
The hotel is beautifully located close to the beach, with each room being very spacious and easily accessible. The breakfast buffet is vast and really good with crepes and omelettes made to order! We especially enjoyed the Masai dancing and the Italian-themed seafood barbecue held right on the beach. The staff were extremely attentive and genuinely made us feel well looked after. The nightly turn-down service, including having the mosquito nets sprayed each evening meant we were not plagued by mosquitoes each night - the staff paid attention to the little details, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
There is also a tourist company located on site, which made organising day trips very easy. Taxis are readily available, and it is only around a 20-minute ride to Kiwengwa where you will find another fabulous beach and plenty of restaurants to explore.
What really stood out for us, though, was the atmosphere. Rather than feeling like we were simply staying in a hotel, we felt as though we were being welcomed into a family. The warmth and friendliness of everyone made it feel like a true home away from home.
A huge thank you to Santosh, Suzan, Charles and Frank for making our stay so special and for making it feel like home away from home."
"We .loved the hotel. Everyone was so welcoming……. We are an older couple and were treated with the utmost respect. The room is lovely so spacious and had a wrap around balcony. The bed was very comfortable and we could even sleep with all the doors open. We ate at the restaurant for two nights out of three and the meals were lovely. Staff was so helpful every single one of them. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Also the location was 10 out of 10. You could walk wherever you like."
"Not one complaint 10/10 everyone was nice the food was amazing great shows we loved it so much we had to stay and extra day and we were so mad we had to leave will definitely be coming back !!!!!!!!!!"
"Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar exceeded all our expectations. It is an excellent choice for solo travellers, couples and families, and in my opinion, this resort is seriously underrated.
From the moment we stepped onto the hotel premises, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, kind and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Ally, who helped my wife organise a beautiful surprise dinner for us by the beach. It was an unforgettable experience and showed just how far the staff are willing to go to make their guests feel special.
The entire hotel was extremely clean and well maintained, and the food was absolutely amazing. The resort is also very family-friendly, with a dedicated kids’ zone to keep children entertained while parents relax and enjoy their holiday.
The prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality of the accommodation, service and overall experience. The photographs online do not do this place justice at all. Seeing the hotel in person was mind-blowing—it was even more beautiful and impressive than the pictures suggested.
Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar truly deserves a five-star rating. We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar."
"I don't really stay in resorts so I don't have much to compare. The grounds, facilities and rooms were immaculate and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The view from my room was stunning and the beach was also immaculate. Some things did come up that made my stay a little less enjoyable.
This is an alcohol free resort, this was my fault for not realizing but there were restaurants nearby that served alcohol
We left our previous hotel to catch a flight to Zanzibar at 4am. We arrived at the hotel starving. Unfortunately it was in between breakfast and lunch so no food options. We were advised that there were restaurants that serve all day which was not the case for us. We went door to door and were told 12:30. We finally found one and it took 1 hr and 15 minutes for our food which was past 12:30! We would have been fine with a premade sandwich
Other minor things, we could not have 2 keys for our room so my friend and I couldn't really do our own thing without one of us being locked out. It also would have been helpful to have an ATM nearby. We wanted to leave tips but ran of of cash"
"Absolutely amazing! Very quiet during late July, but the staff were so lovely. Food was great, pool, rooms everything just great.
Just an absolutely perfect place. Big shout out to the lovely Venson."
