Enjoy a trip through time at this vintage styled home perfectly situated in Oakmont, PA. The “Home of the Good Luck Caddie” is located within a few minutes walk from renowned Oakmont Country Club, host of the 2025 US Open. Our huge, flat, open yard provides the perfect space for large gatherings and outdoor entertainment, or even just practicing your swing! Only 5 minutes from Oakmont’s historic business district and 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, test your luck and make our home your tee for all that this fine region has to offer!
We offer sleeping capacity for 11 people with 4 bedrooms including 1 master with a Queen sized bed, and 3 guest rooms; 1 with a queen, 1 with a full, and 1 with 2 twin beds. We also provide sleeping quarters with bedding in the “den” on a comfortable queen sized sofa bed, and in the game room on a twin sized futon.
Really take a trip through time in this house with authentically vintage amenities. Play bumper pool, retro board games, and Sega in the basement game room. Relax with a good encyclopedia from the 1960s (or any other from our historical book collection!) in the den, and enjoy the patio and spacious backyard with enough room for a 50 yd dash or a big tent party (tent not provided!). Modern amenities like WIFI, Apple TV, and big screen TVs are also provided.
This property is in excellent condition and offers extremely close access to “OCC” for all the US Open events. There is plenty of parking for all 11 guests with their own cars in the lengthy driveway and 2 car garage (as well as on-street parking with US Open passes for the week of June 8-15th.
Let the luck of the “Good Luck Caddie” rub off during your stay in Oakmont and maybe you, too, will be a part of history!
The legend: “But it was the caddie who was now in a group by himself; a caddie who caddied for two golfers who aced the same hole on the same day, a record that still stands. The PGA estimates the odds of a golfer scoring a hole in one at 12,750 to 1. The odds of two aces on the same hole on the same day jump to 32,000 to 1. Herbert Flynn beat the odds that day even though he was not golfing. He experienced an event at Oakmont that has not been repeated since that summer day in 1943.” (See pictures for full story!)
