Great for a family getaway

We had a wonderful time exploring the city while having this cute apartment as our home base. Francois was really great at communicating. He also was kind enough to provide recommendations on where to eat and what to see.

Francois’ apartment was perfect for my family’s visit to Quebec City. You’re just a short drive or 15-20 min walk to Old Quebec City, 10 min walk to Musée national des beaux-arts, a massive park is the end of the street, there is a coffee shop/cafe a 5 min walk from the house, and plenty of excellent restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. The apartment itself has everything you need to be comfortable - nice beds, full kitchen with lots of coffee options, washer/dryer, and comfortable living and dining areas. The apartment was perfectly clean and access was easy. Fully recommend.

Wonderful stay!

We arrived to a pristinely clean apartment. The owner was great about communicating right away with any questions that we had. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, right down the street from the Plains of Abraham. Plenty of room for everyone! The owner even allowed us to use his parking bc of the FEQ traffic. We’d definitely recommend staying here!!

We had plenty of room in this clean, spacious apartment for five adults. We liked the dining table and family area that provided space for meals and games. Close to several bus lines. As advertised. We stayed five nights in August.

Great, clean spot

Spent a fall weekend here with my wife, kids and parents. Francois was very communicative, friendly and accommodating. Apartment was clean and conveniently located (20 minutes walk to the old city, 5 minutes to the art museum and Z Cartier Street for great food. Floorboards were very creaky, bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Beautiful property

We stayed for 3 nights to experience Winter Carnival in Quebec! The apartment is so spacious and clean. Four minute walk to Grande Alle. We used Uber's to get back and forth later in the night without issue. Excellent communication with Francois, he was so helpful to us. Would absolutely stay again!!

Our host was genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome from the start. The apartment offers spacious, cozy rooms decorated with charming touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. At night, it's a peaceful and quiet retreat. On the downside, the location means a lengthy walk to local attractions, which can be inconvenient during winter, especially with snow. Parking is also challenging when it snows since you'll need to share the driveway with the owner. Additionally, the bunk beds in the third bedroom are quite small for adults, so they may not be suitable for everyone.

Great mother & daughters weekend for a special birthday!

Overall the location and apartment were great! There was plenty of space to feel comfortable and spread out, great decor and comfortable all around. The only thing that was a challenge were the bunk beds - the mattresses were quite uncomfortable so thankfully we were able to double up in the other rooms and the couch was comfy! There were 4 grown-ups so that might have a bigger impact with a larger group. We would definitely recommend this for a great trip! The host was super friendly, easy to work with and accommodating.

Great choice for a relaxed stay in Quebec City

I was very satisfied with this accommodation. The apartment was large, clean and comfortable and spans the entire 2nd (top) floor of a private residence. I appreciated having a separate private entrance and staircase taking you straight to the apartment. Very quiet location in upscale Montcalm, away from the tourist crowds. Kitchen has everything you may need. Bathroom, however, could use some updating. Owner was very quick to answer any questions that came up and provided helpful tips. François even set up an office desk at my request and helped me work out parking arrangements for my vehicle. All in all a great stay!

OUTSTANDING PLACE to stay in Quebec City :-)

We needed a place to stay before our cruise from Quebec City to Boston, and we quickly learned that most people stay in the old town area, which is the historic area. Yes, that's possible, but if you want to see Quebec City, not tourist central, stay in a nearby area. This place is in the Montcalm neighborhood (https://www.quebec-cite.com/en/neighbourhoods-quebec-city/montcalm). This area has many larger and older brick homes. This place is actually one of three residences in this building, with the owner living in one downstairs. You have the whole 2nd floor. Yes, it's a little more expensive, but you are not in the heavily touristy area and you are in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the walks in the area. To get to the tourist area, you can take an Uber, which we did one time, but we walked it the other 5 times we went to/from. It's a good 40-min walk, but we enjoyed it. (BTW It is a nice safe walk along one street, and you'll walk right by -- or through, if you wish -- the Plains of Abraham. (I went walking there 2 other times just to enjoy the fresh air.). The apartment has everything you need. 4 beds in 3 bedrooms. a full living room, a full dining area (where I set up my computer and worked), a full kitchen. There are 25+ towels (GREAT!!!) and we loved the balcony overlooking the quiet street and trees in front. Communication with the owner was excellent, and we'd stay here again without hesitation. Stores are about 6 blocks away. Bring your shopping bag! HAPPY STAY!

Perfect sized apartment for family to stay while visiting. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. Convenient having laundry access while travelling with kids. Lovely little rooftop patio area. Great location, close to everything. Quiet residential street, just 5km from Old Quebec. Friendly, helpful and Responsive host lives in building where rental unit is, which made it easy when we had questions. We appreciated having lots of tour guide pamphlets and Quebec tourism info for guests. Due to being an older building, we learned not to use too many kitchen appliances at once (as we overloaded the circuit) and it was challenging keeping shower temperature consistent. Overall highly recommend and would stay again!

Very large, sunny, and well appointed. Live in Quebec as a local. Walk or ski (winter) on the Plaines d’Abraham. Get your croissants at the nearest coffee shop and fresh produce on rue Cartier. Come back to eat them on your own balcony (say hi to neighbours as they walk by). The apartment allows you to breath and slow down, to invite friends for supper, have French conversations at the long dinner table. These places were built for large familles:there is room for 6. The owner is nearby to help you navigate all that wonderful Quebec has to offer. On the practical: there is laundry machine, fully equipped kitchen, parking.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful city!

We had a lovely stay at Francois’ home. The home was very clean and well equipped. It was a short walk to parks and great restaurants. The walk downtown was a little longer but really beautiful and we did it several times. We appreciated our hosts recommendations and timely response. Highly recommend and will absolutely stay again.
