“Looks great online but the reality was quite a disappointment. The cabin was not as well appointed as I had thought given the cost, all a bit cheap and plasticky. The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. The container got quite hot as the weather was so good, but there was no air conditioning and no fly screens, so opening the windows meant I had to contend with some big bugs late at night (moths and cicadas). “The communication about the layout of the property could have been better. There is no internal access to the downstairs rooms. There is no WIFI - in this day and age - you really should have WIFI (especially for when the weather is inclement in Golden Bay - which is often is). The TV is just a screen to play DVD's - there is no channel service. We weren't told you can't drink the water until the morning we got the check-in instructions - it was Easter Friday - so we couldn't buy bottled……

“This was an awesome place to host 80th celebration- plenty of room for 8 adults and teenagers to be together or escape if they needed to. Great to have use of kayaks and pool table. Parapara as location ' close to Vollingwood, Wharariki beach or back to Takak. ”

“Such a wonderful part of Golden Bay, close to everything, especially Collingwood, Pakawau and incredible Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit. Great bach which comfortably accommodated our family. Beautifully located between estuary and beach.”
