Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. “Lovely off the beaten track spot to stay while visiting Farewell Spit. Cute little cottage with everything you need for a night or two stop! The bathroom amenities are basic but do the trick for sure.There is a little stream in the garden, nature surrounds the cottage as well as other accommodation spaces on the property but it still felt very private. Heather the host was very welcoming and friendly. She was available if needed and quick to respond. ”
