“This place is a great get away in the mountains. Definitely has everything you need for a break from life. A bit scary to get to the place through the mountain roads but if thats not a problem for you then I would recommend this place anytime. The lack of wifi and signal is nice to make you stop and enjoy whats around you. Feels like camping to get people to just enjoy the outdoors or whatever entertainment you bring with you. The place was nice and clean and full of everything you need for……

“Beautiful cabin. There is a dirt dauber nest near the deck on another cabin but other than that it was nice. Wish there were more things. Kitchen wasn't amazingly stocked and grill brush is moldy. But it will do. 4 out of 5 stars.”

“Excellent location for our needs! Secluded, peaceful and quiet, but close enough to the Blue Ridge Pkwy making travel easy. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever is needed to prepare meals. The front porch was my favorite part of the house, so relaxing and restful. Mattresses were comfy. The Host is easy to communicate with for any questions that arise and is open and appreciative of feedback and observations regarding possible corrections for future stays. Love the beautiful, natural area!……

“Loved it.....beautiful. Cabin was clean and open and well furnished, just needed a can opener. Booked again for the fall.”

“Great communication from host. Property exactly as described. Nice peaceful setting.”

“No mountain view. Can't add add-ons after hours. Never spoke with a person, all ai.”

“Vwey Clean, pictures do not do it justice.it far exceeded our expectations”

“Excellent location and views. Beautiful grounds. The house is nicely decorated. It sleeps 6 adults and 4 children. If there was more attention given to the maintenance of mechanical things in the house we would definitely have given this a five star review.”

“Such a beautiful cabin, the pictures cannot do it justice. Stay here if you’re visiting Lexington and want a charming base a bit out of town with a lovely view of the mountains. Or stay here if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat. The cabin is so well designed and lovingly maintained.”

“The hosts, Janet and Brian were very friendly and had good recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see. The carriage house was very clean and cozy with terrific views. Jasper, the resident horse, seemed to like attention and petting. Would definitely stay there again.”

“The house was very clean and in a beautiful mountain setting. The host was very quick to respond and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back.”

“Great place! Lots of room and a beautiful setting. The Host was helpful and set it up perfectly for easy checkin. Thank you!”

“Great little cabin with beautiful countryside and only a short distance from Lexington and VMI! Easy check-in. Great space indoors and out. Kitchen was nice and had all the amenities we needed.”

“Nicely kept and great pastoral location. Would recommend adding a few more kitchen supplies to make cooking a little easier. Really did not enjoy a corner camera and alarm at parking area that would go off everytime you walked by. I've never experienced that at a short term rental. Overall pretty good stay though”

“The property was very nice and comfortable. The area is convenient for hiking (Crabtree Falls is quite a workout!) and the property has a large fenced yard and a nice fire pit. We were a little concerned about 4 people sharing 1 bathroom but we made it work! The owner is very helpful, friendly and quick to respond to questions. While there aren't a lot of dining options close by, there are many options if you are willing to drive 30-45 minutes. Overall, a fun weekend in the mountains!”

“Clean very happy”

“Great location in small town with some restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and light with high quality interior and design - very nice!!”

“Our stay in this delightful cabin was amazing. Lorraine could not have been a better host, and everything we needed was there. Cozy was a great word, as my son and I felt it was a home away from home. We had planned on immediatley hiking, but decided to relax at the cabin for a bit first. loved the chickens and ducks, and they did not make any noise. Will definitely be staying again.”

“Placed perfectly to activities in the Lexington area. This cute little cottage was the exact thing we needed after a day out at the Virginia Horse Center. The beds were comfortable and the ability to relax and unwind was easy. Our hostess was always quick to respond and getting in and out of the home was easy. I will remember this for next year's shows. Thanks.”
