“One thing that stood out was how friendly the staff were, the reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff always greeted you with a smile and a chat. Room was clean on arrival so no complaints there. Only downsides was that the rooms are on the small side, not much room to move about in, also, being wakened up in the early hours by a delivery vehicle right outside our window wasn’t ideal. Overall, an enjoyable stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again but would request a loch view room next……

“My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. “As we visited in the month of May , it was cold and we had to beg to have the heat turned on. Once it was,it was comfortable.
