Arrived at 8, with the booking from hotel I had not the "confirmation" number specific for the hotel ( 4 digit) I rang the bell and the operator told me, to call the number on the door but this was not working, than to do the check in via the QR code on the door, but without the code was not possible. "The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining/restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that we were not made aware there would be no restaurant facility on the evening of the Ascension Day holiday. We were disappointed that we had two single beds when we booked a double. We were disappointed that we had to climb into a bath to use the shower - a walk-in shower is a lot safer. The standard of wall decoration in our room (Room 213) was poor with areas of the walls having been touched up with a different colour paint. The material on the bed frame adjacent the window was torn in several places. "
