A quiet, central, sunny apt to celebrate Rome
Our family of four was looking for a central place to stay in Rome for our first ever visit. This apartment was a dream. Live like a Roman instead of staying in a sterile hotel! There were plenty of kitchen supplies to cook breakfast. During our visit in May, every weekday morning there was a popup fruit and vegetable market right around the corner. Our best meal in Rome was eating at the La Tavernetta 48 right below the apt. The apartment itself has vaulted celings and a cool spiral staircase to the deluxe loft bedroom. The roof patio provides a wonderful view of the rooftops of Rome. Rome is such a busy place, we wanted a calm getaway. This was perfect. One night we walked 5 min to the Pantheon and ate at a restaurant looking right at it. Another night we ate at the Piazza Navona. The kids (11 and 13) launched lighted helicopter toys as night fell. The hosts provided assistance arranging a ride to the airport. A great stay!

Unbeatable Location to Explore Rome!
We were blown away by the location of this Rome apartment. All the places we wanted to explore were walkable from the location and there were excrement restaurants and bars just downstairs. This is an old building, but that is the charm of it. As other reviews and the description state, the stairs are no joke! If you have to cart multiple suitcases up - just be prepared for a workout! While it is small, it has everything you need including a washer. The rooftop terrace is fabulous, as well. My only recommendation would be to make the beds a little more comfortable. The communication and check in was excellent. We had no surprises. If you have good knees and you want a prime location to explore Rome, this apartment is a gem.

Great experience
We really enjoyed the apartment, it’s location in the heart of the old city, wonderful roof deck and overall rustic charm. We had a few minor issues in the beginning that were responded to immediately by the property manager and resolved quickly, which we appreciated. The location is in a very active area so it can be a bit noisy at night- but that was expected. We’d recommend the apartment to others with this understanding.

Cool neighborhood
This is a top level walk up - be prepared for a climb. The master bedroom is another flight up a circular staircase, where there is also an outdoor terrace with a view of nearby roofs. The living room is large but sparsely furnished. The bathroom is on the main level, and while small, the shower was excellent. This is a great place to stay to sleep, which was great for us because we spent all day every day enjoying Rome.

This place was FABULOUS!
We cannot recommend this apartment enough! It was clean, functional, well-located, spacious, etc. I LOVED the furniture and washing machine! We were able to cook breakfast for the kids each morning before we hit the ground running. All the beds were comfortable and clean with cozy pillows and covers. The upstairs deck is a real bonus, and all the staff we encountered were extremely polite and helpful. I have read some reviews about the steps, but it is not that bad. The location, beautiful building and furnishings well made up for that (and I would really love to know how they got those awesome but huge pieces of furniture into the living room. They would have HAD to come through a window!) Thanks for a great stay! It is just the kind of place I would have imagined for visiting Rome!

Perfect location in the heart of Roma
This property is authentic, beatify, quaint. The perfect size for what we needed. It is clean. The views are amazing. There are a lot of steps. And I mean a lot. So you must be willing and able to do them. But to us each one of those steps was worth it. It was our joke every day. Loved our stay! Great Hosts! Would recommend to everyone!

Great location
Great location. Short walk to Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Most other destinations were walkable. We never took a taxi. Tavernetta 48 is a very good restaurant located outside the front door. Check in was thorough and the agent was very friendly. Very easy to communicate with the staff. 68 steps to the apartment, so get in shape! It is also off the Main Street and very quiet, a big plus.

Apartment was great for what we needed. It is easy walking distance (under 2 km) to all the major sites in Rome. Quiet back street with a good restaurant feet from the main door. Terrace was great for an evening cigar and glass of wine. As long as stairs are your friend, I would recommend this property.

Great Central Location!
My wife, two teenage sons and I spent 4 wonderful days using this property as a base to explore Rome. Its a fantastic location to explore the city on foot with all the major attractions within walking distance - between 5 and 30 minutes with the Pantheon the closet and Vatican city the furthest but still walkable if you wish. The property has a very sunny bedroom with a large beautiful outside terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the city. The in person check in process was great and they provided a map and information on supermarkets and how to get to various attractions. They also organized transportation to/from the airport. There a lots of great restaurants just steps from the front door. The only thing people should be aware of is that this on the top floor of an older building so you need to be comfortable taking several flights of stairs, plus the main bedroom is up a fairly small spiral straircase. Overall highly recommended.

Great location, but property itself could be improved
We stayed four nights as a family of four with two kids, ages 10 and 12. First, the good: The location of this apartment is truly wonderful -- on a charming street, and just steps away from lots of great shopping and restaurants, with easy access to the major sites, esp. Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. The team was very helpful and responsive, especially as our check-in time was very hard to pin down because of our travel plans. The A/C worked great! :-) The apartment itself left a few things to be desired. The shower has an overpowering mold/mildew odor. Additionally, the curtain for the toilet/washroom does not provide ample privacy, especially for dressing for the shower. The coffee machine provided makes one cup at a time and doesn't smell great -- we ended up purchasing a pour-over cup to make our own. We also ended up purchasing our own toilet paper as only two rolls were provided for 4 people for 4 nights. This was evidently due to a miscommunication on the guests between the management and the cleaning crew. Not a big deal except no one really wants to spend their vacation time and money running down and up five flights of stairs to buy TP. One of my kids slept on the sofa bed, but the bedding provided did not smell or feel fresh at all. It didn't affect our overall trip -- it wasn't bad -- but it wasn't a particularly comfortable or relaxing place to stay. That being said, the location is amazing as are the views from the terrace!

It is in a great location on the top floor. A steep climb but worth it. Place is a traditional Rome apartment but all in great working order with everything you need. Great restaurant by front door. We would stay again but I would not take my elderly parents. Worth the 5 stars

Beautiful Place!
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved this place. Yes. It is on the 4th floor (top bedroom is actually up another floor), but if you want to get the view from the top, you've got to do the work. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere. The property manager helped arrange a ride from the airport to the location for a very fair price that made arrival and check in a breeze. The neighborhood is spectacular. Great restaurants right downstairs and walkable to all the major attractions. Only one bathroom, so if you're with a bigger group, that may be an issue. We loved it!!

This property is a gem. Perfect location, 5-20 walk to most sites AND it is on a very quiet street. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. As others have mentioned, there are some stairs to climb to get to the apartment and inside a spiral staircase to the second floor bedroom, but the view from the rooftop balcony makes it all worth the climb!

Place was in a great location, close to all the best attractions. Super duper neighborhood. The roof top deck is fantastic too. Hosts were great. That said, still needed a lot of amenities: 4 flights up, only one blanket/comforter for 3 bedrooms, no wine glasses which is surprising for Italy, the one bathroom is a challenge and the shower is rough. Needs a Bluetooth speaker. All those things aside the walkablity of the neighborhood makes it worth it because we were always out and about.
