Clean and comfortable, in a very convenient location. My room had a mini fridge and microwave, with dishes for easy eating in. Warm and friendly service, easy walking to town. Nice view of the river. I would stay at Narakiel's again!
Spotless renoved room with good water pressure, excellent wifi and a very confortable bed in a better neighborhood than in downtown Roseau but only 10 minutes walk to the ferry. Also, the staff is very kind and helpful!
I strongly recommand to book at Narakiel's Inn.
The property is situated in front of a river and have a serene neighborhood. I stayed here for almost a week as I was assigned to work in the city centre for a certain period of time and I can say I have a wonderful stay here. My room at No.5 is simple yet perfectly for me as i have windows, microwave, ref, aircon and fan and my own bathroom.. bed is very comfortable and room is clean and I could recommend for anyone traveling solo. Keren, who is the local manager is very helpful too. If I will be in Dominica again, I will choose Narakiel’s inn again for sure.
the staff made us complementary drinks. was flexible with check out time and anticipated our needs withiut being told. i didnt like the toilet that collected water all night and the shower could drain water on the floor faster
J'aime ce pays mais certains hébergeurs doivent revoir leur copie ! malgré les perturbations du cyclone MARIA, un jour sans eau potable ! de plus : nuit de la saint sylvestre ! mon avis : "peut beaucoup mieux faire"
With a nice view of the river, and good pricing, it should be considered for those on a budget, with excellent knees. "If you cannot climb steep stairs, up three flights with heavy luggage, try elsewhere." Even the hall has a two step up and down plumbing elevation, as does the one high step up and out of the bathroom. It is higher than a normal step, and I missed it several times during my week. It is not in a tourist area, nor are there buses still running. You need to cross the river where vans are parked. The owner is a Canadian, very helpful. He even provides a local cell phone with some time for a couple of calls. It can be reloaded numerous places. I put $10 on it and called Grand Cayman, and many local restaurants. It is about a mile to a French bakery restaurant, across the river. It is up the hill, take the river road which wraps around past government agricultural offices. About the same distance down the same road by the street, before the bay, is the open late Kentucky Chicken. Food is good, but items are mainly ala cart. It is your only choice after everything closes after 2PM, and it is it on Sunday, except the other hotels with their own restaurants.
Easy walk into town but far enough away for peaceful rest with the pleasant sound of the river flowing by the hotel. The hotel manger was excellent, no request was left unmet and he welcomed any questions. I especially appreciated having a complimentary local phone while visiting. Ask hotel manager about day trips to see local sights. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and knows all the best places to eat. I would happily stay here again when visiting Roseau.
I contacted the hotel a couple of days prior to my arrival, to book airport pick-up. I was told they were overbooked, and had to give me a smaller room (but they didn't tell me until I contacted them). I told them that would be no problem. When I arrived, I was taken to a guy whom the taxi driver introduced as the owner, standing alongside the road, letting me know I couldn't have a room at all. I understand that mistakes happen, and I got sent to an OK guesthouse with the nicest guy ever running the place. However, it is pretty weird to get told "another room" just a couple of days before being told "no room", and to stop at some roadside with the taxi booked by the hotel before anyone bothered to tell me I couldn't get the room I had confirmed. My suggestion is: Find somewhere else; I wouldn't trust this place.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Bad experience
manager was extremely rude.
As per manager - this is a room and not a hotel, there should be total silence. I demanded a refund so I could check out early and he declined.
couch was broken
room is literally 10x10, no space to move

Un transit pratique à roseau
En transit avant de repartir sur d autres îles, l hôtel est une base logistique pratique pour accéder rapidement au centre ville comme au port ou au deux sites de taxis collectifs pour partir vers le nord ou le sud de l île.
Good clean hotel, located 3 minutes on foot from the town centre in a quiet area. Very warm wellcome, friendly advice and the personal tours with Richard helped us see the island not only with our own eyes, but through the eyes of a dominican who knows very well both the western and the carribeean worlds - a seldom and very precious experience. Thank you! :)
We were very happy to have chosen Narakiel's Inn as our home in Roseau. The location is great, as it is easy walking distance from the center and from the ferry port (10+ min). The place is spotlessly clean, and though our room was tiny, it was exceptionally beautifully decorated. The amenities were exceptional as well for this price category: fridge, micro, cell phone (!), coffee maker.. we even got beach towels when we asked for them. Richard, the manager, was very helpful and always available. He took us on a day tour to several scenic sites (140$ for 2 people), and we really enjoyed the day with him, hearing of life in Dominica. The only minor con may have been the rather noisy air con in our room, but overall we were super happy with our stay and would gladly recommend the Inn to other travelers. Dominica is a gorgeous hidden gem!
My stay was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this Narakiel's Inn to anyone. The management is quite friendly, helpful and warm. I am eagerly looking forward to visiting again.
