Perfect location and a great home base for our family fishing trip! Just far enough out of town to provide quiet evenings and great star gazing. Very close to world class fly fishing access. Susie was a very friendly host. We are looking forward to coming back!
We absolutely loved staying here! The house was beautiful and the location was secluded and private with stunning scenery. It was close enough to the ski resorts and town of Salida to make it convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!
We had two families with a total of 4 kids ages ranging from 6-12 stay for 3 nights. This house accommodated us very well, was comfortable, clean, well stocked, and a nice location near the river.
We had a great time here and would highly recommend staying here.
This place was perfect getaway for our travels. My daugjter got married there and the house was a perfect location. I will book again if im ever in the area.
Our family with four adult children loved staying at this ranch property. It was a short walk to the Arkansas river and close enough to Salida that we could venture into town when we wanted. Stunning views surrounded us and we were super close to lots of activity options.
We had a great time. The house has plenty of space for all of us. The place is secluded yet close to town. Owner was available for anything that we needed. Beautiful house!!
Easy location to access BV, Salida, and monarch for snowboarding. The living room/ kitchen/ dining room were clean, comfortable, and perfect for family hang out! They had a lot of commodities - plenty of kitchen utensils, sheets, TP, towels, etc. We had a very comfortable stay.
The house is a very pleasant place to stay. It’s bigger and more open than it appears in the pictures. The house is in good shape, very clean and tidy. The location is secluded with great views and close to Monarch Mountain. We would definitely stay there again.
My group of four 60-something guys really enjoyed staying in this wonderful ranch view home as a base for our gravel biking adventures in the Salida and BV area. The house was spacious, clean, well-provisioned, and very comfy for our three-night stay. Susie was an excellent host and responsive to any questions we had. It was great being a few miles out of town, being able to hear the birds in the morning, and seeing all the peaks and hills surrounding the area. Having four comfortable beds and separate bedrooms (no bunk beds) was key for us. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ranch View House! This home is beautiful and it accommodated all eight of us very comfortably. We absolutely loved the views and the open space in the house and on the property. We also loved the fact that Salida, Monarch Mountain, snowmobiling and the hot springs are all a very close drive.
We are already planning our next trip to Salida. We will definitely book again.
The views are amazing. The house is in great shape. Great size for a nice gathering and well stocked. The road to the property is pretty bumpy but well worth the drive. Not all of the windows have screens but nice ventilation regardless. Certainly hope to be back.
We had a wonderful stay! This home is very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of firewood for the fireplace. The views from this beautiful home are incredible!! We came to ski, but enjoyed our evenings cooking and playing games. We would love to come back in the summer, too!
My six cousins and sister from the east recently spent three nights at Susie's home. Both her home and the setting were stunning! The house was spacious, comfortable, and immaculate. We appreciated the open concept; no matter where we were in the central part of the house, we could visit with each other. The beds were incredibly comfortable. All the amenities she provided were appreciated. Every time I had a question about the house, Susie would reply promptly. We wished we could live there forever! We agreed that the house provided the perfect place for a cousin reunion. We highly recommend Susie's house for a vacation stay and are already talking about returning in a few years. There just aren't enough accolades to describe this house!
Our family had a great time. This house is in a great location. It is a short drive to ski, go to town, or visit the hot springs. The views are spectacular in every direction. The house is well equipped and had everything we needed for our week stay. We enjoyed the wood stove and there was plenty of wood.
We hiked before and after it snowed. Our host responded quickly to our questions and even gave us suggestions of places to hike. She was very friendly and checked to make sure we had everything we needed when it snowed a couple of feet our last two days.
The house is beautiful and was comfortable for our whole family of 7. The only FYI is that the master bathroom does not have a door. When our activities were cancelled due to the amount of snow, the large table was great for playing games and putting together a puzzle that was available. We will stay here again the next time we come.
It is a perfect combination of stunning views, privacy, and convenient location to town and skiing.
