OUTSTANDING HOTEL WITH PERSONALITY!

Posted Dec 10, 2016
My husband and I travel over 100 days a year and I have to say, this particular Kimpton Hotel Monaco blew me away! The lobby is welcoming, intimate and offers so many special touches (delicious hot cocoa bar, bicycles to borrow to toodle around town on, large sized games to play with friends or other guests, fresh fruit water station, etc.) The room was beautifully appointed and the attention to detail was impeccable. Service was 6-star, with staff literally going an extra mile (or 2) to accommodate special requests and make you feel genuinely welcomed. The bar is intimate, the menus fantastic and the hotel perfectly situated in the heart of downtown. Don't hesitate to book this hotel - it will exceed your expectations!!!

A gem in the midst...

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Provide complimentary internet service.
Location: In the hear of the city and all major attractions within walking distance.
Amidst all the big name hotels is this gem of a place in downtown Salt Lake City. Hotel Monaco is beautiful, comfortable, and unique.

Very nice hotel

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Very clean and comfortable with excellent access to downtown. Courteous staff. Some convenience items were listed as available to borrow but were actually only available for purchase, notably a cell phone charger. Overall a great place to stay

Pretty nice hotel, but nickel and dime you

Posted Oct 25, 2016
This was a nice hotel in terms of decoration, but it was rather disappointing in a couple of key respects. First and foremost, it seemed that everything in the room had a price tag on it (seriously), and was for purchase. Not only was this the case for the minibar, but also for other random things--stuffed animals, an apron (?!?), etc. Things that are available at other hotels--like a coffee maker--were completely absent, however. The bed and a TV seemed to be the only things you didn't have to pay extra for. Perhaps just as bad, I found several hairs in the bathroom when I checked in, presumably from the cleaning staff: on the soap container, the roll of toilet paper, etc.

Great Stay

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: There's a nice bar near the hotel lobby, the rooms were very clean and a comfortable bed.
Cons: You have to pay for parking which isn't ideal. They do have valet service which worked great, but cost $24 a day.
Location: Location was very easy to get to and had quick access to everything in downtown.

Experience The History and Architecture

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: The room , the food , the staff, housekeeping, laundry, management and special thank to who ever kept Oscar the goldfish alive for 17 years :)
Cons: a bottle of water in the room that is less then eight dollars, I drink the 8.00 one anyway but it is still just water....
Location: the Beer hive for a Palimony Porter and a shot of Five Wives Vodka......and the food is good two
Our 3rd stay at this property, everything was perfect and Oscar the gold fish was waiting for us. they have given us Oscar on each of our stays starting in 1999 or that is what I tell my wife thinks anyway....Shhhhhhhh. why would you go to this city and stay at a cookie cutter hotel......

Close to Convention

Posted Sep 22, 2016
Recently stayed here while I attended Doterras global convention. The staff was friendly the room was clean and the food was great. They have free wine and appetizers everyday from 5-6pm which was pretty awesome as well. Only thing I wish the bathrooms had a fan. Other then that I would stay here again.
