“Very good service ”

“Three of us stayed Tabuaco for the vineyard visit. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained; the only main issue is that there's no elevator, so we had to draw our luggage for a couple stairs to reach the lobby and then three floors to the room. I was hoping that the room would be a bit bigger as it's a triple room. It's was in a quiet and clean neighborhood and we accidentally found a bar close by, quelha funda bar, which we love so much. The atmosphere was great and the draft beer……

The drive up to the hotel was a challenge,(for us) however, the staff drove our luggage down to our car after our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. “The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc. The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom. “Great view from the room and the cafeteria/restaurant. The mountain and the river behind are spectacular. The room itself is quite nice and big as well. However, the only public transportation to get to the hotel is by bus. Even it is only three minutes walk to downtown, still strongly recommend to rent a car if you would like to explore more in the neighborhood. The hotel has its own underground parking lot. So it is not a problem for parking.”

“We had a wonderful stay at The Vine House. It is so beautiful, the location is just gorgeous, the views are absolutely to die for from the rooms and terrace and it is the most peaceful place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend a room with a balcony so you can sit and enjoy the surroundings.
