“Three of us stayed Tabuaco for the vineyard visit. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained; the only main issue is that there's no elevator, so we had to draw our luggage for a couple stairs to reach the lobby and then three floors to the room. I was hoping that the room would be a bit bigger as it's a triple room. It's was in a quiet and clean neighborhood and we accidentally found a bar close by, quelha funda bar, which we love so much. “The room was very clean and well equipped, nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was lovely including home made jams, marmalade and fresh bread. The food in general was amazing, we had dinner on our first evening and then the dinner and wine tasting on the second night. “The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc. The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom.
