"Das Doppelhaus ist etwas versteckt mit herrlichen Ausblick in den Wald. Es ist liebevoll eingerichtet und der Garten mit Terrassen sehr schön gestaltet. Es ist alles was man braucht vorhanden, von Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Geschirrtücher, sogar etwas Brennholz bis zu Gewürzen war alles da. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr angenehm. Wir haben das Häuschen gleich wieder gemietet und freuen uns auf einen weiteren Aufenthalt."

"This was our first time visiting Germany and the house was as pictured. Our family of 8 fit comfortably. We had to ask for a few appliances that were listed in description (toaster and microwave) and the host responded promptly and dropped off the requested items. "This hotel was further from Cochem than we hoped for. I booked two rooms for one night at least four months in advance requesting large windows that open. We got one room with a very tiny window only, and one room with a medium size window. The staff was very nice and apologized for not meeting my request saying "they didn't know how this happened". The hotel was full that weekend. At least the windows opened. Also, our room had a terrible smell. Apparently, the drain pipe in the middle of the bathroom floor was the culprit. The lady at the desk poured some cleaner down the drain with a few buckets of water. We then covered the drain with a towel and went to the store to get a car scent hanger to place on top. We went to the restaurant for dinner and waited an hour and a half for our meal. They were very busy that night and apparently not prepared for the weekend (May Day). The meal was nice in spite of the wait. The most positive aspect of our experience was the woman at the desk who tried her best to fix things for us. "

"As if being in a castle isn’t awesome enough, the staff is so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The grounds and rooms were exceptional. Gorgeous. The restaurant for dinner had amazing food and service. I honestly can’t say enough about this property. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, whatever best ratings I can possibly give for a hotel - I bestow upon this hotel. You absolutely MUST stay here, even if for just a day. It’s totally worth it! "

"Property is difficult to assess. On the one side Great location, new building, impressive artwork, on the other side not transparent. Room booked was executive room. First room offered was small, no sofa, etc. Claim was that a tiny balcony would make it executive. Upon request, a real executive room was granted. Twice the size and all the advertised features. Room change, wasted time and the impression that we were initially shortchanged. Then, after a long day out we come back to the room - no service. When inquiring at the front desk the young lady there showed real attitude. „You were told.“ „There are cards in the room.“ „This is for sustainability.“ We were not asking for fresh sheets. But making the bed? Cleaning up the room? This was not about sustainability. It was about saving cost. And when your shower has no door, the floor towel gets totally wet. It doesn’t dry up over the day. Again, you feel a little chiseled. Bottom line: This could be a nice hotel, but there is a palpable undercurrent of being „too cute“. At ~ $400 a night this is just ok. This is a nice hotel with a palpable undercurrent to give the guest less then what was bartered for."
