“This is an excellent hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I noticed how conscientious and hard-working the restaurants and bar staff were in particular. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious roast tomato soup and local ice cream. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time in a hotel. “The Queens was a little gem in the countryside. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent and far exceeded normal pub fair. The room was small but well appointed and clean. The location was great for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Breakfast was also quite nice.”

“I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay”

“Friendly very clean and had good selection of towels and good range of tea and coffee with buscuits much better than some chains which are mean, the car park was off site but took my car reg details and so that i was not charge at the car park beind other building accross the road. see if this is the case”

“Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room.”
