"It was just ok. Need some update here and there but you got what you paid for. Closed to almost everywhere, near super market and coin laundry. But Coimbra itself is very walkable city. I stayed for one night, and most of time I was out enjoying the city. In my opinion it need more lights inside the room. Staff were helpful though"

"The breakfast was not only fresh, magnificent and delicious, but the view from the terrace is amazing. Very generous. It felt like we were lodging in someone's comfortable home, located in a residential neighborhood but close to the university, shops, etc. Our hosts were invisible most of the time (jn a GOOD way) but always available as we needed them. Coimbra is a lovely, historic destination and this hotel/hostel was the perfect location from which to see and access all of the local delights. Would rebook again and recommend to others."

"We had a two night stay at the Solar Antigo Coimbra. The Pros about the property are: unique accomodations, very nice staff & nice breakfast brought to your room each morning. The cons: The room (at least we the one we got on the main level) was very small, there is no privacy between the shower, toilet and the rest of the room. Our room was right beside reception and when i mean right beside, I mean when we opened our door new guests checking in were right there blocking our doorway. We were also bothered by guests checking in late or stopping to chat with the person at the front desk who would have long & loud conversations right outside our door at 10:30pm. The reception closes at 11 so this wasn't a problem after that. It was an experience, but I'm not sure I would do it again."
