About the cottage:
We have renovated and refurbished the only roof cottage in June 2021. As a result, we have, among other things, a completely new bathroom everywhere, new floors and walls. Many wooden elements, exposed ceiling beams in natural tones give this roof-only cottage a very homely character. Large glass fronts on the terrace and lake side create an optimal view of the Erzgruber landscape. In front of the house you have the additional possibility to grill in the fire pit and make it warm with a fire.
In the large living and dining area you can choose your favorite place. The highlight is of course the fireplace including firewood. The sofa bed can be converted into a full size bed (with mattress). The table is expandable for up to eight people. High chair available if needed.
The two bedrooms are located upstairs. Travel cot for baby/child can be set up.
After numerous activities and experiences on the lake, you can end the evening on the terrace or in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine.
Cooking and feasting:
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for everyday use. Including microwave with baking function, refrigerator with freezer and dishwasher.If you prefer to eat out, you can reach an Italian restaurant in two minutes on foot or the beer garden by the lake, which is also a five-minute walk away and also offers delicious food. Other Black Forest culinary delights can be reached in a few minutes by car.
Thanks to the bread service of a regional bakery, you can also have bread rolls delivered for breakfast.
Scenery and Activities:
Surrounded by beautiful Black Forest pines, the lake (Nagoldtalsperre) invites you to walk, hike and on warm days to swim, stand-up paddle and sunbathe. Whether bicycle tours, mountain bikes, inline skates, pedal go-cards, horse-drawn sleigh tours, snowshoe hikes... depending on the weather, many things are possible.
When it snows, there are several ski lifts and cross-country ski trails nearby.

Other destinations in the Black Forest National Park are best reached without traffic jams by car through picturesque Black Forest landscapes. Here you will find, for example, the famous Lothar Trail with panoramic path or the All Saints Waterfalls. A guidebook and a brochure with tips about the region are available.

You want to take it easy? How about a very private stay in our outdoor sauna house with great panoramic views? The sauna is located in the garden of the main house Tamara. This is 40m away from your accommodation. For our guests it can be booked with 20% discount.

The house is at your private disposal, including terrace, garden and barbecue.
In front of our main house Tamara you can park for free.

The entire linen package (towels, bed linen, dish towels), coffee beans and firewood is included. Washing machine and dryer are also available in the separate laundry room in Ferienhaus Adler.
In about 8 minutes by car you can reach stores for groceries and daily needs. The next largest town is Freudenstadt with Germany's largest marketplace and numerous shopping opportunities.
The bus stop (Erzgrube Schernbacher Straße) is 8 minutes away on foot. From Freudenstadt, for example, this is served about 4 times a day. The timetable for this is available on the website of the Deutsche Bahn

Please note:
At this resort, it is important to us that it remains relatively quiet and especially that there is no loud talking outside after 9pm. This is written into our house rules so that everyone in the neighborhood can relax. We now also have high-speed Internet in the house. You can make mobile phone calls with D1 and D2. O2 has no reception in this area
Our cottages and sauna are located on a slope, hence the beautiful view. There are 70 steps from the parking lot to your vacation home Löwe. But it's worth it ;)
