As a bonus, the food is of a very high standard and the Guinness was decent. Can’t fault this place in any way, stopped here to be in the area for the snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield, it was a 20 minute taxi ride from here to Sheffield Town Centre. As Arnie said….. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed rooms with comfy beds and super quiet with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Dining options in the pub restaurant were vast and the food delicious with a really friendly team. Final bonus - REAL MILK provided in the fridge for proper morning coffee. Cannot recommend enough. Rooms are really comfortable & clean, the food in the pub is also very good. My issue was the noise from the pub as the room I stayed in was above the Bar. I had nowhere to sit other than the bed. The bar was rammed, and noisy, and we had reservations about whether to stay or not. But then the manager took us up to our room, and there was no way we were going anywhere! We had booked the suite, which has a lounge area plus bedroom area, a bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower, and even a dressing room. It was beautiful - so welcoming - we genuinely couldn't fault it. The bed was comfortable too. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning, so when I enquired about what to do with the key as we would be leaving before breakfast, the manager rustled up a continental breakfast for us, which he brought up to our room just a few minutes later. Granola, fresh fruit, croissant and jam. It was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We had dinner in the restaurant too - which was much quieter than the bar area - and the food was great.
