"We stayed here for 3 nights this week. The house is located in a perfect spot to get away from it all. We scalloped and fished all three days. You can catch fish and crabs right from the floating dock in the back yard. The house itself is spacious and comfortable with everything you need. This was our second stay here, and we will back next summer."

"This was our 3rd year staying in this home and we had another great stay! It is wonderful for large groups and children. The bunk room is great for kids. The yard is perfect for hanging out and the views are incredible. The dock is great. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could want. We had one small issue during our stay and the host was extremely responsive and remedied the issue right away. We’ve stayed at a lot of homes in Homosassa and this is by far our fave! Will stay again!!"

"Well appointed home in a good location. Close to local spots and very clean. Nice having the canal out back to kayak on... and kayaks available to use. Home was very comfortable. Would come back again!"

"The house was clean upon check in. However that’s when things started going down hill. I tried to close the sliding door to the Bedroom and it popped off the track and I couldn’t close it. Reported to host and said they would get someone to look at it. Never happened during our stay. The dryer timer was broken, per the label on the lid. Then the toilets and shower started backing up. We had sewer water backed up in the showers. Was offered another house to stay at that was a bit of a drive, but due to our boats being docked up we didn’t want to leave and re-settle a child and dog. The front door opened the first time upon arrival, then we couldn’t get it to open again and had to leave a sliding glass door unlocked the whole time so we could access the house. The front door could only be opened from the inside. Ginger was pretty responsive to our issues and had someone out very quickly for the plumbing issue. Due to the severity of the plumbing issue however the showers were backed up several times, we couldn’t take more than a very brief shower before the water started backing up again, and the toilets started bubbling. The house location was perfect for where we needed to be. The new dock was great but needs some cleats added. There was no electricity downstairs under the house. The beds were clean and the floors were clean. The screened in porch is a great asset. Minus our unfortunate issues we incurred the house was great for our little getaway. "

"We came in for a quick 2 night scallop stay with the family and we caught our limit within a few hours opening morning! Private getaway with boat access only-boat parking in cove was clutch. Loved the fire pit, hammock and peaceful river vibes- scallop season 2025 does not disappoint! Thank you for these precious family memories---we won't forget this trip!"

"This place is amazing. The host picks you up in a pontoon boat to take you to the island so you get a lovely boat ride included. We have stayed at many VRBO places and this place was amazing. The fridge was packed with food, drinks, juice. The dinner they provided was delicious. Many coffee choices and snacks. Had a fire near the river to watch the sunset. I would definitely stay here again."

" My husband and I spent several days at Banyon House to celebrate our anniversary. The house was spotless, comfortably furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy bed, and wonderful screened-in back porch which was great for having coffee in the mornings. The neighborhood was very quiet, I even was able to take a late afternoon nap out there one day! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit in the evening and also enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the fish jump. Our host was easy to communicate with and we felt at home for our weekend getaway.
