Lovely quiet hotel away from the noise of town.
Beautiful hotel with a great pool. Very friendly staff who help in nay way they can. A little far from town with more than a few potholes along the way but overall, a great place to stay.

Nice little hotel for relaxation
This place is ideal if you need a place to just relax and shower. It is quite convenient to get to town by TukTuk. Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Bed is very comfy.

The hotel is very pretty because it is made in the form of an old temple. It has lots of potential however it needs more attention to it, because it seems like no one is taking care of it lately. The bathroom drain was clogged and the bed has a few small bugs the first night we arrived. The room was spacious abd overall clean. The complimentary breakfast was more than enough and had many options from Asian to American versions. The pool though seemed like it needed cleaning and the water in the fountain definitely needed some cleaning (it was mold green). Overall considering the 13USD a night we paid for the hotel was comfortable. If you plan to stay here make sure to have the hotel card with its address to show it to the tuk tuk drivers because it is a bit far away from the city center.

The best located hotel in Siem Reap !
Situed just around 2 minutes by tuk tuk to the city (pub street..) and around $2, this hotel is in a very calm and lovely place compared to the city very very noisy ! The staff is helpful ! We had a big bedroom with air condition and very clean. The restaurant is excellent !! With varied plates. No regrets about this hotel it was perfect for our stay - very good for people wants relax, visit temples, and party at the night. Thank youuu C

Great place !!
Great place with great staff and manager!! Lydia in the kitchen was awesome and made us great cheP breakfast! Only s &2 US dollar for tuktuk to pub street. A lot less noisy that staying close to pub stream. Pool beautiful and refreshing to cool of in after walking all day. The manager there was so nice as well!! Will definitely stay there sgain

Overall our experience was really good. However, they could have been more clear with what was included in the room. If you book through an external site (ex. Expedia or Hotels.com) always read the fine print and confirm with the front desk what is and isn't included in you're stay. Pool was great and it's a semi close location to the central city life.

Awesome hotel , really quiet and peaceful.
Quiet and Nice Hotel, the staff member are really nice and they help you a lot with everything . I would recommend it to anyone that is staying in Siam Reap.

Nice cultural hotel, just away from the city

A little out of the way
Overall, hotel staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Location was a bit out of the way from everything. A little bit of rain and the place flooded. Upon arrival they gave us the price of $18 for the grand tour of the Angkor temples and $21 for the sunrise/smaller tour. However when the driver requested the money he was after $30 and $25. Overall 6/10

Little Oasis in outskirts of Siem Reap
The Spirit Palace Hotel was like little oasis in a fairly rough part of the city. It is located outside of the central business and tourist district and you can definitely tell. Walking from the hotel to anywhere wasn't really an option. Fortunately, the hotel provided us with our own personal chauffeur, who happily drove us to all the places we wanted to go. It seemed like we were the only guests staying at the hotel at the time, so the service was excellent. Everyone at the hotel spoke good English to us, which was a pleasant surprise. The pool was nice and clean. The restaurant food was delicious with quality ingredients. The courtyard was lush and green. The room was huge, which was nice, but it did make the small air conditioner work hard to keep the temperature comfortable. The bathroom could have used a little work - the shower stall was not in the best repair and could have used a small shelf to store toiletries on. The bedside lamps didn't work, so lighting was either full power or none at all. For the price I found this hotel and excellent value.

Few Redeeming Qualities
In the middle of nowhere. Bed very hard. Bathroom had no shower enclosure. Very small "Safe" which was not bolted to anything and could easily be carried away. The inside lock that is supposed to prevent intrusion was broken off. Main selling point would be the pool which was large, well maintained and greatly appreciated after a long day in the heat.

Broken AC, dirty pool and too far from the centre
On the day of our arrival the pool was green, dirty and unusable. It was subsequently cleaned the following day, but still annoying when only staying for a short duration. The Air conditioner in our room had a leak, which left a large puddle on our bedroom floor. The AC unit then completely broke and took a while for an engineer to fix, which wasn't good as my partner had a fever as this time. The location isn't great and was in a different place than hotels.com advertise. It's definitely not under 1km to central siem reap. There is a little shop next door, but that's as far as it goes. Tuk tuks can be arranged for $2 which isn't the end of the world, just don't expect to be able to walk to the centre. Given the rave reviews, we were disappointed with our stay. Perhaps other rooms (don't stay in room 201!) may lead to a better experience.

Mal the Tuk Tuk driver!
We stayed two nights here when we first got to Cambodia and it was a good stay. Clean, friendly and really beautiful architecture! But the best thing about this hotel was Mal the tuk tuk driver. He picked us up from the airport and even waited for an hour or so while we were delayed with queues at immigration, he was so patient. He dropped us into town ($2) multiple times and each time offered to pick us up later if we wanted. So we hoped that when we booked a sunrise and day tour at Angkor Wat through the hotel that he would be the one to take us and he did - he was so patient waiting for us in the temples, drove us to the best places to enter and explained the history a little which was great. he was also a really safe driver and a pleasure to be around! If you stay here please ask for Mal! He was truly the best you could ask for! Hotel is nice and we enjoyed our stay there, it is a tuk tuk ride into the town centre though but the grounds are lovely and had a great pool.

Wonderful people
We had 3 adults and 2 children in a 3 bed one room situation. Breakfast was included and a nice pool to cool off. The staff were very good helping us with anything we needed including a pick up at the airport and arranging tuk-tuks for our travels. It was $2 US and 5 minutes from the main shopping and tourist areas by tuk-tuk. We found a last minute deal for $62 CND a night. So good. We would go back there anytime.

So much potential... yet to be fulfilled!
Pros: The staff are super friendly and very, very welcoming - always happy to have a chat and provide information. The restaurant food is very delicious - particularly recommend the fish amok! Cons: We were disappointed on arrival as the photos are not truly representative of the hotel's current appearance. The pool felt over-chlorinated and faded all of our swimwear, as well as being full of leaves and debris. The included breakfast is below average. No safe in the room. No sign of a 'Complimentary Area Shuttle'. The building, grounds and pool have got so much potential to make Angkor Spirit a really special place.. they just need a bit of care and attention to detail!

Our own Tomb Raider Adventure
The location is not great. It is far enough away from everything to require a Tuk Tuk driver. But this turned out to be a blessing as we met ! "Long". (Ask for him'). he made our week there a real adventure.

Quiet relaxing time in quiet area a little way out of town. Wifi was good, restaurant food was good n reasonably priced (though beer wasn't cheap). Pool was nice - though gets a bit busier later when the staff kids/relatives arrive after school. Tuk tuk into town only took 5 minutes - maybe a couple of km. Only paid 3 dollars tuk tuk from pub street back to hotel late at night. Overall, nice stay, recommended if you want to get away from town.

Wonderful staff, nice hotel
The hotel is off the beaten path and outside of the city. But, they provide a free one-way tuk tuk ride into town. The staff is absolutely wonderful. SO kind and helpful. The pool is nice.

Hotel located too far out from Siem Reap. They provide a Tuk-tik to the centre but I would have preferred to be more of a walking distance. Hotel has a nice pool and friendly attentive staff. Shower in the room is a bit dodgy and bathroom permeates with water when shower is taken. The restaurant is quite good.

Spirit abounds
We arrived at dusk after a long, hard drive from Phnom Penh. Our driver complained that the hotel was far from town, but it was a perfect oasis. Before it was a hotel, it was a place to train apsera dancers. The architecture and setting is amazing and the price is good.

Easy transition from St. Regis to Angkor Spirit!
The Angkor Spirit Hotel was the perfect place to stay during our temple-touring vacation. It was wonderfully peaceful and the traditional design of the building made us feel like we were truly in Cambodia. The pool also provided a nice retreat from the heat. Our immediate prior stop was in Singapore where we stayed in the St. Regis. We were worried that going to the Angkor Spirit would be a jarring step down, but it was not at all. We booked a larger room with two beds (for only 3 usd more) that was on the opposite side of the building from the pool. It was spacious, quiet, and really lovely. Our only problems were that we had some issues with the A/C as it never seemed to get cool enough, the safe didn't work in the room, and the bed was on the hard side. These issues weren't enough to put a dent in our pure delight from the atmosphere of the hotel, however. Breakfast was included with our rate and was very nice. They offered Cambodian and western options. If you have an early-morning tour before the restaurant opens, you can tell them the night before and they will prepare you a breakfast to take with you. For post-temple hopping, I recommend french fries by the pool. Their fries were very good. Getting to pub street and the night market was also easy as there were always several tuk-tuks ready to take us for free from the hotel.

Friendly temple style hotel
Beautiful temple style building with a gorgeous pool and gardens. Great friendly service, but no hot water and a very hard wobbly bed. It's a bit out of town so expect to pay $4 in the tuk tuk. Hotel needs abit of maintenance ... But is a little oasis!

Nice, but could be much better
The staff were great the overall facilities - interesting! There was a nice "rustic" feel about the place, but the abandoned bar and third-floor restaurant, along with the inconsistent landscaping makes one feel that it was once a strong 3-star hotel that has fallen beneath that bar and is struggling now to stay above a 2 star. The meals were surprisingly good, and we enjoyed every breakfast, and half of our dinners there. The pool, when we arrived was a green algae soup that defied anyone to swim in it, but within three days that problem seemed to be fixed and the waters had become almost crystalline clear.

Basic but pleasing
What the hotel lacked in comfort was made up for by the pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was large and clean although the beds were very hard and the bathroom was lacking a shower curtain. On arrival the pool was very cloudy but the use of a pump and filter soon cleared it and it provided a welcome spot for relaxation after temple visiting. The eating area was well staffed, the food was well presented from a varied menu although it often took a long time to prepare. Stairs were challenging!

Litle bit far from center of Siem Reap down time but Hotel provides free Tuk Tuk ( less than 10 minutes to reach Pub Street) . Hotel perssonnel is very friendly but breakfast should be improved to add more options.

They were very friendly. The hotel property looks great but the bathroom was a little crazy no cutin and the shower shoots right towards the toilet. Fairly typical of asia an only a minor inconvenience. Little far from town but they do have free airport and one way to town drop off

Beautiful hotel just outside of town
Angkor Spirit Palace was our home in Siem Reap for 2 weeks. The hotel owner and staff treated us like family. Always smiling and always helping us. Beautiful green lush gardens surrounded the very welcoming pool. Our room was VERY clean (serviced daily) and very comfortable. Good size rooms with air conditioning and comfy beds. Great meals at the restaurant and poolside. The architecture of the building was glorious. We LOVED our Angkor Spirit Palace experience and will return one day soon. THANK YOU.

Nice pool and garden area.
Arrived late and were assigned a room near the lobby as we booked the Deluxe room. The safety box and robes were no where to be found in the room so after checking everywhere we were moved the following day to a different one. The safety box did not operate in the new room so we gave up as it was not even bolted down. Breakfast was near the poolside and was somewhat decent with a number of choices. Overall state of repairs at the place is mounting as we were there 3 years ago and it is slipping.

Strongly recommended--a must stay hotel!!
It is an excellent hotel and im glad that i've chosen the correct place for my stay in siam reap! We've 5 person in the trip, and when requested for an extra rollable bed, the hotel actually upgrade our room to 2 queen size bed and one single bed for free! The breakfast was nice! There are also tuk tuk services provided to bring us to town area and return to hotel as well. And they are so on time. The staffs there are so friendly, and they tried their best in fulfilling our request. Besides, as we check out at 12pm that day and takin night bus at 10.30pm. They provided a 2-hour room for us, for us to shower and change cloth before depart... And its free!! What a wonderful trip when we have such an excellence hotel and services!
