Unfortunately and unnecessarily complacent
Check-in was a singular experience: this hotel obviously has found new meaning to the concept of customer service... I have seldom been welcomed in such a complicated, controversial and nearly hostile manner at a hotel. As I tried to test a question to the representative at the desk on the appropriateness of her approach, things did nearly escalate. Good thing that there are other places to stay in Sils Maria for my next visit! In summer this hotel appears to have large numbers of regular guests that visit recurrently every year. The set ways that this produces has presumably helped the staff at reception become complacent / arrogant. That is an unnecessary pity, as all of the other staff (wellness area, breakfast room, check-out...) were very helpful.
