Arrived by taxi from airport only to discover that there weren’t any restaurants or bars within walking distance of the hotel. Contact with hosts via Expedia only. “The hotel is just a short walk from the port and it’s about 7 min away from Lion Square. The sound proof is amazing considering it’s on a main street and very close to the airport. Dimitri made some very good recommendations on restaurants - all of our meals have been amazing in Heraklion. The only recommendation I made is to replenish bottled water every day, rather than just giving 2 small bottles for the whole say. But all in all, good value for money and great hospitality! ”

Understand it's all inclusive if you have that option but charging extortionate prices to push people into going all-inclusive (15 EUR for all mixed drinks) is a bit much. Felt like the complimentary bottle of wine was lacklustre and a bit cheap for it was as it was only a half bottle with served with two walnuts and some peanuts. Same with the hotel only leaving a generic Birthday card in the room was really minimal effort that it may as well……
