This is a great, centrally located accommodation. The suits have everything you would need including Netflix and a kitchen with tea and coffee, napkins, plates and cutlery. Every time we had any question, the staff was easily contacted and responded quickly. But we didn't have many questions. We were happy with this choice and would stay here again.

We found the place very clean, clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Location was excellent, to local shops, restaurants and the canal. The reusable water bottle filled in the fridge was a nice touch. Quick response, when we encountered the pin for the lockbox was wrong. The kitchen and bathroom was stock with adequate supplies. We do a lot of cooking, we managed with the items in the kitchen.

The apartment was modern, clean, and in a good condition. Coil mattresses are low quality. However, this is not a hotel, and the check-in information requires sending personal information in an unsecured method. No manager to speak with, no one returned a call.

Apartment was clean and nicely furnished. It was in a nice area. However there were two bedrooms. The king room had a great bed but the queen room had a mattress that had springs that were uncomfortable and the mattress sagged in the middle. Not having a good quality bed is a huge negative and detracts from the other good things about the place. Also, we were on the third floor and the elevators didn’t work. This would have been a deal breaker for anyone with mobility issues or someone who was unable to carry their luggage up three flights.

The luxury apartments are part of the Rideau Hotel which is a very nice place. There are long term residents as well as short term. Global Stay is not a very good business in my opinion. We stayed 8 days in August of 2023. Communication with them was very difficult. There was to be a Fire Stick in the unit for the tv and a laundry card. We received neither and was told the local representative was away for 2 weeks. That didn't help us. We asked for clean linens but received none. Other people had come and gone during our stay but no one could assist us with our needs. I would not book with Global Stay.

Part of the building was still under construction when they rented us a room. The very loud construction noise started at 6:45 am the next morning waking us early and disrupting the rest of our day. The heater was broken and we had to spend two cold nights struggling to stay warm. The manager came and apologized and did not offer any compensation saying "sorry, I can not do any thing about it". Think twice before renting because if things are broken, you just have to accept it. This is supposed to be a hospitality business but they have terrible way of dealing with guests. I certainly would not stay there again.

The laundry process is very difficult. We struggled with where to put the credit card as this is not shown in the instructions and it is in a hidden slot under the machine. Additionally, it took several tries before our credit card was taken to add more value to our laundry card. It really shouldn't take 20 minutes to read through instructions and navigate issues before being able to do laundry. Additionally, someone parked in our parking stall and the street parking has a 2 hour limit. There should be a monitoring of the parking lot to ensure everyone is adhering to their assigned spots.

Old historic building that has been nicely updated. However the procedure for booking was awful, all online, not convenient for those travelling with spotty wifi. They didn't follow their own check in system. The staff are foreign, so use google translate! Many things in the room were broken, wardrobe doors, sofa bed etc. We booked and stayed nearly a month, all paid in advance including damage deposit $500. They promise to return deposit within 7 days, I was still chasing them 10 days after leaving. The lift didn't work for the 3rd week, if you put 2 or more people in the lift it breaks and they make you pay, same if you hold the door open. Several people got trapped in it! Don't use it! They say no smoking but lots do. Dogs are allowed and nothing is done if they bark all day. The worst thing is their communications or lack of, and the fact there is no one there if you have troubles. This is not a hotel it is rented apartments. The building has a terrible reputation locally! Sorry can't recommend this place.

The actual spot was nice but the management was horrid. When we arrived we noticed one of the beds was broken. We immediately emailed management and sent a picture which they acknowledged. Since it was moments after check in it obviously wasn’t us. Two weeks later we were informed we were being charged $25 for breaking the bed. From that point on they were impossible to contact. Multiple emails later, a few phone calls no one ever got back to us and we are out $25. It’s only $25 but it’s the principle of the matter. During our stay we were immediately responded to. Since then, not one single email or call was responded to.

Amazing apartment with many paperwork

Amazing apartment in the centre of Smiths Falls. Only issue is that this apartment has a very strict rule with ID check, not only two pieces of photo IDs, you also need to give a photo of you holding your id. Given the fact of cyber scams nowadays, it only takes one data leak to lose your identity. The hotel also charges $200 fee as deposit, won’t cancel the charge but only do refund after a few reminders 11 days. Not very friendly and convenient in nowadays hospitality world.
