“The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. “We had a wonderful two-night stay. It was rustic and very homey. It had all of the conveniences of home. The location was amazing. We were able to explore the Cabot Trail and come back "home" to relax. ”

“The cabin we stayed at was private with beautiful views of the ocean. We enjoyed watching the seals in the morning and evening at our own overlook with coffee or wine. The host, Ton, was friendly, welcoming and makes a great pannenkoeken for breakfast if you choose to eat at his restaurant. Overall a great start to our vacation and a good base for exploring Cape Breton. ”
