It was cheap. But I booked a two bed room and when we got there they said a water main broke in the two bed room, so all they had was a one bed room. I looked at it. It was a full bed, not ideal for my son and I. The floor was old linoleum with holes. I"d thought about a sleeping bag on the floor, but seeing the floor thought no - it didn't look very clean. A single lamp with no shade was on the floor. No TV. No furniture except a desk chair (no desk). It was the worst room I'd ever seen (and I've seen some bad ones having lived many years overseas). I suppose if one just wants cheap and really basic, you can get by. I didn't feel comfortable staying there. The front desk person was very helpful and said he'd confirm with Expedia the problem and support me getting a full refund, which I did. So that was a plus.

Room was clean but it did have a weird odor. Breakfast was good but the hot water was cold.

The checkin staff was great. Nice and helpful. It was late and raining heavily and we were very tired. She was exceptional. Then we went to our room and the opinion of the place went way down. Someone had turned the air conditioning down to 61 degrees! Coming in wet and tired, it was not pleasant. Adding to that discomfort was a peculiar smell. We at first attributed it to the cold room. But after the room eventually warmed up, the smell got worse. We finally figured it out. It was cat urine in the carpet! Since we travel with our pet dog, we keep Fabreeze spray in our vehicle. I liberally sprayed the room, including the carpet, and the smell diminished but never totally left. We were too tired to change rooms. Both the previous guest and the cleaning staff HAD to know this room smelled bad due to a pet cat. It’s irresponsible of the previous guest to leave the room this way and not tell the management. It’s equally sloppy of cleaning staff to not tell anyone about the bad smell. We will most likely not stay here again. Not worth the trouble.
