Cleaning service disappointing.
Arrived Sunday, walked from parking area to unit. Removed shoes at door. Before going to bed our feet were black from dirty floor. Checked air filter. Also BLACK. Last change was April. We went to Winn Dixie and purchase a new air filter due to our grandchild staying with us. Sheets in master bed dirty with sand & dog hair. Had to wash/dry sheets before getting to bed. Smoke detector at front door hanging down off wall Pull chain light in washer/ dryer closet- bulb broken off/ exposed Very dangerous. Didn’t know if light was turned on or off to change bulb. Called Property management. Said would send maid to mop floor Monday 2:30 pm Maintance man Tuesday 8:30. Maid (2) arrived 1:15 minutes late on Monday. (Understandable) but, after vacuum & mopping floor, mop water was BLACK. I asked maid if she was the same who cleaned condo. Said, yes she cleaned Saturday and with us walking in / out that was why floor was dirt. I told her we had only stepped from our car to condo and told her to look at her mop water. She replied “Sorry”. I asked did she change sheets or just make up the beds. Stated they change sheets every time and didn’t know why or how sand and dog hair got in the beds Mold on shower curtain in master bath. Looks like hasn’t been cleaned or replaced in a few months. Wednesday morning started to eat breakfast and sugar ants were in our bread & sealed danish. Had just purchased both Tuesday afternoon at Publix. Maintenance man arrived Fixed light & smoke detector. Sprayed for ants in kitchen. He was very nice. We live in Florida and understand the ants and mold. It happens, but we feel the maid service needs to be checked into. Our sister lives at Ocean Village Club year round and we or she rents for us to visit each year. But this is the first time we have been disappointed with the cleanliness.
