Welcome to the PowderGlades Chalet. This property offers a fantastic location and great value. When you rent this half duplex home, you'll have ski in ski out access from a nice, large home with incredible views, recent renovations, and other features that really matter in a vacation residence. In spring, summer and fall, this ski in ski out location turns into a hike or bike in and out location. Whatever the season, the national forest is right out your door, and don't be surprised if you see some wildlife. One of the best things about this home is the views. They stretch across the whole Yampa Valley from the south to the west, and you are likely to enjoy some stunning sunsets. This home also has a real wood burning fireplace which you'll want to cozy up around when the day is done, or maybe even just to get the day started off right! The two tiered deck with private hot tub is off the main level, and there's a patio off the downstairs bedrooms, offering guests a good amount of outdoor space to enjoy. The home is surrounded by beautiful mature Evergreens, Gambel Oaks, and Aspens, but not so many to block the views. The architecture is impressive, with vaulted tongue and groove ceilings and large exposed structural beams that are an iconic symbol of mountain western style. The property faces south and west, with plentiful windows, stained-glass, and a skylight, which allow a good bit of beautiful natural light into the home.
This property is a 4-Bedroom + Loft. It is laid out across 3 levels, and has lots of spaces to spread out for privacy, as well as one large space that is ideal for gathering everyone together. When you enter you'll find ample room to sit down and for storage of your shoes, boots, hats, mittens and coats. Just past the foyer, you'll find the loft. Here you will find a sofa and armchair. It can function as an extra place to relax with a book or to watch the HDTV. This loft looks down upon the main level living room, one floor down. The main level includes the master bedroom and bathroom suite, as well as the kitchen, dining, and primary living room, as well as a half bathroom. The 2 tiered deck can be accessed from both the master and the living room. The lower level includes the other 3 bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and the laundry.
There are a lot of additional features to enjoy at this home. Of course, it has free Wi-Fi throughout, and there are 3 different TVs for your use. This home has an open concept layout that is great for entertaining, a great place for family and friends to enjoy each other's company! The living room has comfortable furniture and a wet bar. The bar is conveniently located right by the door to the outdoor space, which includes an outdoor dining table and a gas BBQ grill. The dining room is right next to the living room and kitchen, very convenient. The kitchen is quite large, comes with everything you might expect and then some, and the large peninsula makes meal service easy.
The other half of the duplex is a mirror image, and also available for rental. It is more expensive than this half of the duplex, but if you need more space, ask us about renting both halves of this special duplex home.

Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property, and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary.
