Enjoyed our visit

Loved the condo. The reception to check in at the management company was horrible. They were rude, pushy, made us wait an hour to access our condo (even though we called and were told we could have early check in of 1 hour) then they told me I had to pay an extra $78 but couldn't tell me what it was for. 'Probably taxes' guessed the rude front desk employee. I refused to pay at that moment AFTER waiting an hour (when i could have been dealing with this) and I said I would call them after we got to our condo. Not 5 minutes after I walked out did my phone ring and it was the check in desk. I declined the call as I was driving and they immediately called back again. I angrily answered, gave him a piece of my mind and he hung up on me. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and the condo was stocked pretty well in the kitchen. At check out I assumed the front desk would have figured out what the mystery charge was for, but what do you know, it had vanished entirely. The charge was gone from our bill. They said it must have been an error. What a joke! Glad I refused to pay the mystery fee or I'd be swindled out of $78 unknowingly. Customer service was poor. Not sure I'd stay again.

Incompetent Staff and Late Shuttles

The condo was dated in the décor and appliances but was overall okay. The location was convenient and would have been great if not for the failure of the staff of Pioneer Ridge and the Shuttles that serviced Storm Watch. During the day there are times when the Shuttles run on loops which are supposed to run at close intervals but we had to wait over 20 minutes one day and we froze after a long day of snowboarding despite multiple calls to the front desk for assistance and watching other shuttles from the same company pass through multiple times. Another evening, we could not reach the desk for a shuttle and had to walk from the condo down an icy slope to catch the free SST to dinner, this also caused us to be late for dinner and delay our reservations. We waited on hold for 1 and 1/2 hrs before being connected. Once connected they asked us to call back when we were ready to be done with dinner, I had to escalate this in order to schedule the shuttle. Also, they did NOT shovel snow on our walk way on multiple occasions despite our requests. When we went to check out and complain about these issues, all Pioneer Ridge said that they contracted other services to provide these services and they were not responsible. DO RUIN YOUR TRIP.

Completely Disappointing

There was one issue after another with this condo, I can't even list them all. One problem is that we booked two rooms and they were nowhere near each other I think it is self-evident that if one reservation books two rooms, we want to be adjacent, or at the very least as close to each other as possible. Additionally, the main reason we booked this spot was for the hot tub, which was shut down for the summer. SUPPOSEDLY this was mentioned somewhere in fine print, but I never found it. Additionally, that is pretty shady to make it so hard to discern that the hot tub is closed. Getting it re-opened was apparently too much trouble, we were offered a reimbursement for going to the Steamboat Hot Springs--not even free vouchers, but an offer of reimbursement! Considering we were all up there for a volleyball tournament, and were much too busy and tired to go to the hot springs, this was NOT an acceptable counter offer to use of the hot tub. Of the two rooms, one smelled very bad, had a very small kitchen and uncomfortable beds, yet the two rooms cost the same. The other condo was very hot and the air wasn't working, we essentially had to sleep with our condo door open all night. I will absolutely not ever be staying at these condos again. And I go to Steamboat every summer.

Good location, great views, quiet condo

We like the option of a condo when we travel, especially when we are going to be in one place for an extended period of time. It was close to the Steamboat base area, so we could walk, but be warned, although a short walk, there are no sidewalks and it is all up-hill coming home. Most of the time we would use the complimentary shuttle. In addition to the regular schedule down to the ski area, it also ran on-call and would take you to the store, skiing, or downtown. This was a great feature since it saved us the expense of renting a car. The condo itself was quiet, clean and well-stocked. The kitchen is very small so it would be difficult to cook any large meals or do any entertaining, but was fine for 2 people. The unit had a nice gas fireplace, and amazing views of the ski area and valley below. Very nice for watching the sunset with a glass of wine after a long day of skiing. The property description we received from the rental company stated that this unit had a steam shower and gas grill, but neither were present when we were there.
