This was a great little affordable nest that we could stay at as we explored both ends of Keys. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The tiki bar on the property was fun and entertaining with karaoke, trivia night, & live bands. Bed was super comfortable. Back door to the channel to watch the boats. We could do everything we wanted without spending a ton on where we stayed. Ideal for the adventurous traveler.

Great room with a sitting area, pool was clean. Deck is super hot on your feet. Staff were friendly, but not overly. Tiki bar is ok, not many food options.

This is an old hotel that would benefit from many renovations. It is very basic but the beds were comfortable and they try to keep it clean. If you are just looking for a cheap place to lay your head, then this place will do.

We really enjoyed our stay at Looe Key Reef Resort. Management were very friendly and accommodating, and check‑in was easy. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the handicapped-accessible layout made it very comfortable and practical, with plenty of space to move around. This is not a modern or high‑end luxury hotel, so if you’re expecting brand‑new finishes, this isn’t that, but it is an honest, older Keys-style property that’s extremely clean and well kept. We also loved having the Looe Key Tiki Bar and restaurant right next door for food and drinks, and Boondocks just a short walk down the road was excellent for a night out as well. Having a 24‑hour Shell station close by was surprisingly handy for late‑night snacks and drinks. Overall, a very clean, convenient and welcoming place to stay in the Lower Keys, and we’d happily come back.

Pam at reception was very welcoming. We went on a 4hr snorkelling trip through the resort which was first rate. The on-site bar is very handy and has live music. No food being served the 3 nights we were there, but no problem as other restaurants nearby. It was a great place from which to explore the Keys. Only 30-45mins to Key West.

Taco Tuesday with trivia and live music at the Tiki Bar was a lot of fun. The room could use some updates and coffee in room would have been nice. Otherwise the beds were comfy and staff was friendly. Location was great for proximity to some nice parks and wildlife spotting.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the hotel was and how great the location is. The pool is a good size, and the bar is a fun place to hang out, listen to live music, and enjoy some surprisingly good chicken wings. For a two-star hotel, it exceeded my expectations and offered great value for the price.

Hotel was old but clean. The Tiki hut bar is right there in the middle so when they have a band or music playing then you will be hearing it until they are done late night. Had cold Ac and hot shower so basically what is needed.
