“Our host was very prompt in answering any questions we had. We stayed 3 nights, this place is quiet, private and the AC blows cold ! We fished ourselves silly and caught some nice ones!”

“Let me Begin by saying the staff were friendly and very helpful. That is the extent of anything positive about this hotel. The condition of the hotel can best be explained by saying it is like putting lipstick on a pig. They have done some renovations to the property however, it does not look like they're putting any real effort into providing a clean room. The linen were stained, the floors were disgusting ( even though they did lay some new flooring down in the sleeping areas) and even the……

“Horrible! Will never stay again. We checked in and they had already gave our reserved room to someone else. So had a completely different one. It was upstairs. The concrete was cracking and it literally felt like you were going to fall. The key wouldn’t unlock the door. When we finally got it the air conditioner was off. It was a million degrees in that room. Took hours to cool off. Then there were dead bugs ALL OVER the floor. If we wasn’t already tired we would have looked for another room.……

“Rustic cabin. Left a little to be desired as far as cleanliness but otherwise suited my needs. This place is probably really fun in season.”

“This quiet getaway was exactly what we needed. This little cottage was absolutely amazing and beautiful, clean on the inside and well maintained. My wife loved everything about it not to mention they even decorated for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend to stay in the small town of Carthage and stay at the cottage. It has definitely been put on our list of places to revisit! ”
