Full outdoor kitchen and a cold plunge add to the experience. Nice mix of folks from all over. "

"We had a great stay here. Staff is primary reason, close second is the location. It is expensive relative to other options or other beach side resorts along the California/Baja coast. One big reason is Baja/Mexico has a large tax on items - rooms 33%, cars & food/15% by my best estimation. Staff seemed to love their jobs, cared about our stay and enjoyed engaging with us - maybe more humoring us : ). Rooms were fantastic, comfortable and I can't express enough how nice it was to have the roof top. There is a hot tub (not shallow) along with a fire pit and a large lounge couch with umbrella...great space. Food is good for the most part, some hits and some misses, but overall good...again, just note there's a 15% charge on top of the menu price. "

"This was my second stay at Guaycura, and I'm sure it will noy be my last. The staff went out of thier way to make the stay comfortable. Rodrego and Denise helped with ground transportation and were always friendly and welcoming as we came and went, making my stay pleasant. Thank you guys so much!!!"

"The house is beautiful and clean, the photos in the VRBO listing are accurate. We loved all the comfy outdoor seating, and the abundant gardens create privacy. There's a sea view from one of the upper decks and a partial view from the lower covered deck. The heated pool was a treat, the temperature fluctuated from 78 to 84 deg. The wifi was fast and reliable. We didn't use it but there is A/C in each of the bedrooms. The host was responsive and helpful.We enjoyed our time and recommend this house and amenities, however, future guests need to know a couple of things: 1) We believe there will soon be construction in the adjacent lot. For our 1st week a crew of 4 landscapers worked the lot and set up their lunch/break area in the shade on the fence line about 20 feet from the pool, and a portable toilet was placed on the fence line at the front of the property. While the foliage creates privacy screening, we felt their proximity and noise (loud talking, music) was intrusive. They worked every business day that week from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The 2nd week started badly with 3 dump truck loads of soil delivered early on Monday morning, however thankfully it was quiet the rest of the 2nd week. 2) The photos show full sun on the pool; late Jan/early Feb, about 3/4 of the pool had sun at about noon for an hour, otherwise only the small sun shelf had sun most of the day and the in-pool seating got sun late afternoon. A bit of a disappointment for this sun worshipper."
