I normally do not write reviews, but after my recent experience I feel compelled to share. I would strongly caution against staying at this property. The level of cleanliness and customer service fell far below expectations, particularly for a Marriott brand.
Upon arrival, we were given a room that was not properly cleaned. The carpet felt sticky, there was visible hair in the shower, and, most concerning, dog feces on the floor. Because we arrived very late at night and had to leave early the next morning for a funeral, it wasn’t until the following day that I noticed the extent of the issue. When I addressed this with the front desk, I was told the room would simply be cleaned after we checked out—leaving us to return to a room in that unacceptable condition.
I later contacted customer service and was offered 5,000 points as compensation. Considering the circumstances, this felt inadequate. In my opinion, the stay should have been fully comped as a gesture of accountability.
As a professional pilot, I travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels. Unfortunately, this experience has left such a negative impression that I will no longer consider Marriott properties in the future.
