Hotel is old and needs a complete redo. Room smelled of must and mildew. No balcony, no view, room felt like a dungeon and prison like. Didn't even stay the night, drove back home. Will never stay here again. A complete waste of money. Do not stay here.

Great location and staff was friendly. Property needs an update... It's your typical chain beach hotel. Breakfast buffet is too pricey for the quality. Walk a block or two and you can find far better for your money. Checkout time is chaos with the limited number and size of the elevators. Again... The place needs an update, but for the price is was fine.

Off to a bad start when we got there. Michael, was rude and unwelcoming when we pulled up. Upset that we pulled up to get our bags out. He proceeded to scold us and made my partner take the car over to the garage while I had a pile of bags in the humidity. Watched me struggle while I was trying to get them on the cart. Another worker came over to help. The worst part was that while I was waiting for my partner to come back from the garage across the street, he was letting OTHERS leave their cars parked. One car was there before we got there and was still there as we were walking to our room. Around 30 minutes. Rude! Just rude. Check-in was a little rocky as well. Not the nicest guy. Room was beautiful with a few random stains on the carpet. Double lock on the balcony which was nice. No issues with noise even though we were close to the door. AC had a hard time keeping up once the curtains were open, but we were outside most of the time. Easy access to the beach. Gym was a bit dirty: I was in there 3 days in the row and the same garbage was in the treadmill cup holders. Water and towels were stocked in the morning. Overall, happy with our time there. Interactions with workers needed some work.

Overall Nice place to stay while in Virginia Beach. Would like for the Sheratons Breakfast to be of a higher quality as the eggs are the powdered cafeteria issued type, the Bacon is fried and overly oily. Omelettes to order should be an option at-least for a period of time during breakfast hours. ROOM CLEANING. Apparently, after the pandemic full room cleaning is a thing of the past Vacuum, bathroom cleaning, fresh sheets, wipe down etc will not happen until check out. This is extremely gross. Cleaners will refresh towels, empty trash and make up the bed but no actual sanitation to the room(In & Out Only). I found this very disrespectful as this has become a new business practice to ensure that the Check-In Rooms have priority for available incoming hotel stayers. Once you check-in you are no longer eligible for room cleaning. My family often travels outside the US and this is something that is not practiced. Your room or suite will be cleaned top to bottom daily. Sheraton Va Beach 3501 Atlantic Ave elevators could use some form of updating and maintenance. Doesn't seem timely and obviously elevators are degrading mechanically. degrading mechanically.

I am expecting a full refund. The room was dirty! No service, we had to begg for towels and toilet paper. Stayed cold and wet after beach! Had to put our trash in the hallway after asking multiple times for help. We got eaten by bedbugs, they sprayed the beds and put the sheets back on. I woke up coughing from the fumes at night! We got sick from our dinner after waiting 40 mins to get our food after our guests already ate!! The phone didn't work. Ive been going there for years!! Never again!!! Will also be contacting corporate, this was unacceptable.

Staying at the Sheraton on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk was a nice experience. The staff was so friendly and welcoming!! From the moment we arrived to the end of our stay, we were well taken care of. The one downfall of this particular property is the condition of the elevators. We had read on line that the elevators being broken were a continuous problem. We called the hotel ahead of time and they assured us that the elevators were working. Checking in on a Saturday, in the middle of peak season and finding only one elevator working was a HUGE problem!!! We spent the day walking up and down to the 10th floor. Positive side-great exercise!! Seriously, Sheraton can afford to fix the elevators once and for all!!! If we could have contacted higher management to deal with the problem immediately we would have! Will not go back to this particular hotel and will not recommend it until they upgrade the elevators!

For the price you pay for a room in this hotel in the upper part of VA beach it’s underwhelming and understaffed. First problem I had was that they charge you a $150 “incidental” fee upon arrival that was never mentioned anywhere on their bookings or website. I didn’t want to do it because I was only staying for a night anyway but they didn’t care and told me it was hotel policy. Second, they make you pay for parking that isn’t even attached to their hotel it’s across the street which was inconvenient. Third, the staff were not well trained no matter who I asked a question to nobody could ever answer me correctly whether it was about ice machines, extra things I needed in my room that were forgotten, if the restaurant accommodated gluten free options, etc I had to constantly try and find a manager. Lastly, the rooms are underwhelming. The pictures of the bathroom are fraudulent it’s the smallest bathroom I’ve ever been in in a hotel you can barely fit getting in and out. The balcony was dirty and wasn’t cleaned before we arrived and whoever cleaned our fridge also left it opened so it was overheated and took 4 hrs to get cold again to house drinks. Ice machines from the 1st-7th floors weren’t working and their elevators don’t accommodate the amount of guests they have we constantly had to wait 10 minutes just to get on an elevator so we just took the stairs for most of our 5 level trips up and down the hotel. Save your money and book somewhere else this location isn’t worth.
