This resort is beautiful and well maintained. Rooms are big with great views That said, the Ocean Towers part is under remodeling and very noise during the day. Also, noise from the hall with people arriving and rolling their luggage permeates the walls at night and early morning. Unfortunately we spent more time exploring the big Island then enjouing the pools and entertainment in the resort.

Cost $400 for ONE night and you get the crappiest possible room, no breakfast, not enough lounge around by the pool, toilet was clogged upon arrival, bathroom sink by the pool side didn’t even work… for $400 a night you get literally crap, $50 parking. Food is so expensive. Whatever was nice and delightful about this place was ruined with the fact that they will drain your bank account before you can leave. Nothing was enjoyable for the cost of $400 in one night. It’s just robbery.

Self parking is almost $50 per night. It’s ridiculous. In addition to self parking, there is a heavy resort fee of $40 and then a nightly room tax of $7. This all adds up. It takes a long time to get from one side of the hotel to the other. It’s about a mile and the shuttle is slow. Parking is only in one location of the hotel so if you’re staying at the Ocean Tower then the walk or shuttle commute to the parking lot or valet can take about 30 minutes and in the heat and humidity it’s not pleasant. Lack of healthy food options at the hotel. Hotel food is incredibly expensive too. A smoothie and a bowl of Cheerios will cost you $20! It’s ridiculous.

My family has always loved this property. I was very happy with the customer service, cleanliness of the property, and overall experience. The water slides are a favorite and the views are wonderful. I have two teens and a toddler. They all greatly enjoy the property. Would highly recommend for families.
