“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“Average hotel. They didn’t bother to tell us they were undergoing renovations during our stay so not ideal to be working up with loud drilling works right next to us. Mattress needed replacing several years ago.”

“Very welcoming arrival with a small tour around the grounds. Rooms clean and suitable for the 1 night we was there. Small communal area with tv, fridge and basic cooking equipment was a great little touch.”

“The hotels.com site states there is a reataurant at the location, there is but only open until 1500hrs, so that was a big issue as delivery was the next choice, pizza, indian etc not a great option and a minimium of £30 to get a delivery, a pain on your own. I then had an issue closing the room window as that neess maintenance, the tv controls were next, there were none and the great staff had to find a spare set. The staff were great and the pub nice, accomodation was tired and not in walking……

“Really nice hotel”

“This rambling old place has a lot of character, and some eccentricities. I have stayed here several times and never had a reason to complain. I am an elderly woman travelling alone and would not keep coming back if my rooms were not clean and very comfortable. The staff are always friendly and most helpful. There is only limited parking but as yet I've had no problem - I understand that there is a public car park nearby, and also roadside parking is not difficult. A glass of wine beside the open……

“We were looking for an overnight stop travelling back North from Southampton and came across here. There was a big extension being built to the front of the pub so parking was difficult but otherwise caused no inconvenience. We had 3 rooms and all were very comfortable and well equipped . What stood out about this place was the staff, all were genuinely lovely and friendly. Checked in and personally shown to our rooms. We ate at the pub and the food was quickly served and was simply delicious……

“The Dundas Arms is a warm welcoming hotel in an interesting setting between canal and river on the edge of a lovely village. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant was busy with good service and a good menu of delicious food. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. It was our diamond wedding celebration and we were well looked after and given complimentary bubbly to celebrate. We had a most enjoyable 3 days and consider Dundas an ideal country venue and……
