Called the "Little White House" due to the fact that President Franklin D. Roosevelt spent quite a bit of time here. The nearby Warm Springs brought some relief to the pain he endured due to polio. It was in this house that he died on April 12, 1945, shortly after having been elected President of the United States for his fourth term.

"My only complaint would be the kitchen. I know we don't go on vacation to cook but this kitchen was woefully inadequate. If you rent this unit, be prepared the kitchen is not supplied enough for cooking even breakfast (i.e. one terrible frying pan). Overall the property is fine for a few nights. Very clean and exactly as described. "

"My family and I stayed here to get away for Christmas. The place was nice, fully stocked with kitchenware, and even had a Christmas tree already put up. Everyone loved it and we created awesome memories together :)"

Dishwasher only cleaned top rack of dishes. Had to hand wash all others. It was a good location for our visit to callaway gardens."

"I love the location of this property on the lake. There is a swing below the deck that is the perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee. The office staff is friendly and very helpful with a full list of restaurants and things to do. Callaway Gardens is beautiful this time of year, and this chalet was perfect for our long weekend getaway!"

Location is just 5 minutes from Callaway Gardens and within walking distance to a restaurant. "Loved Star Haven. Very peaceful and quiet. Great location. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our four-day getaway. We had our fur babies, and they also loved it. Loved the fact the deck had gates, so we did not have to worry about them getting lose. We have rented from these host before and they are great. We will be back for sure."

"This is a beautiful property!! It is well maintained and the staff was fabulous. I was greeted every time coming and going. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is just a short drive to Pine Mountain and Callaway Gardens. I would definitely come back for another stay maybe bring grandkids. "
