"Renting the property was quick and straightforward. Good communication with the owner. However, on arrival the property especially the upstairs rooms were very dusty I asked for mop which was provided but was unable to used due to the complicated process of putting the mop together. Overall, we didn't have much experience at the amenities bcos we were out most times. But I would definitely go back to explore the place more."

"If you want an alternative to the tourist masses of Amsterdam then I highly recommend Alkmaar and staying at Simon's. The house is lovely and authentically dutch and you are right in the middle of a beautiful town. Recommend taking the bikes out to Bergen and beyond."

"Communication by the key holder by phone was impossible, they never answered phone . House was not as clean as I had expected . Bed linens didn’t fit the beds , only one duvet cover for a two duvet bed. Bathroom was a fall hazzard, floors stay extremely wet. It needs a shower curtain and no slip rugs for safety . No towels in the kitchen to do the dishes. Yard was not tidy. House shown in the pictures was not the house we received, needed painting. Could not get the tv to work. Would not...

"Das Haus wird ab Abril 2023 vermietet. Also alles noch neu und intakt. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und hübsch. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Gute Qualität, zB Rösle-Töpfe. Feintuning fehlt noch etwas. Eine Knoblauchpresse oder eine Parmesanreibe hätten geholfen. Fahrradvermietung sehr nah auf dem Gelände. 3 Terrassen, je eine nach Osten, Süden, Westen mit jeweils doppelflügeligen Terrassentüren. Sehr schön, birgt aber auch das größte Problem. "The rental is attached to the main house and is truly wonderful. Beautiful sunsets and plenty of room for everyone. We came with 10 people and were comfortable. The bedroom downstairs was perfect for us and the bed was nice and hard(I don’t like a super soft bed). There were all kinds of seasonings and drinks in the fridge for the folks who like to cook. It’s close to the Zaanse Schans and very close to just about everything. We were all very pleased."

"Die Sauberkeit des Ferienhauses ließ zu wünschen übrig, sonst war das Haus schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, sprach aber kein deutsch. Wir hatten um einen Late Check out gebeten, dieses war nur für maximal 2 stunden möglich und sollte 35,- € kosten!!! Wir sind daher einen Tag früher abgereist um uns den Stress am frühen Morgen zu ersparen!"
