Welcome to Miller's Dream on the Blanco!

This beautiful family home sits on a peaceful 1.3 acres with 100+ feet of private river frontage. Stone stairs make for easy entry into the clear, cool, spring-fed water that is deep year-round, even in the hot summer months when the Blanco can dry up elsewhere.

Start your morning with breakfast on the back patio, watching the deer and taking in the view of the meadow going down to the river. Or, have coffee in a rocking chair on the long front porch, listening to the birds in the oak trees. Enjoy the day relaxing or playing in the water, head to town to shop, or explore the nearby towns. Cook and have dinner on the patio, then end your nights around the firepit under the big Hill Country sky, full of stars.

Whether you’re coming for a quick weekend getaway or staying much longer, there’s nothing like a peaceful stay at Miller's Dream on the Blanco.

River Escape
We stayed here with our three young kids and enjoyed the quiet escape. The house is well stocked and appointed which allowed for comfort and ease as we cooked all meals in house. We swam in the river and ran around the yard and enjoyed stargazing at night around the fire pit. We would gladly book again and appreciate the hosts opening up their home. The beds are comfortable, house and porches are clean, good air flow, quiet surroundings and a perfect riverside retreat.

Blanco River Trip
This is a beautiful home in such a relaxing and peaceful setting. Our teenage grandsons had the river to themselves and loved it. We loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the huge back yard that leads to the river. The deer just strolled through the yard as they stopped to look at us. It’s just outside of Wimberly so it’s close enough to restaurants and shopping etc.

Beautiful property!
This house is great- we had 3 couples, so everyone had a bedroom and plenty of space! (Only issues were a kinda broken shower faucet, & a faulty coffee pot) Loved the backyard view, & we had deer visitors every evening Would recommend, & would go again😊

Peaceful retreat
Was coming to town for a wedding and wanted more space than a hotel for my family of 6 plus my mom. This house did not disappoint it was beautiful, had everything we needed and then some. Even plenty of toys for the kids that was a nice bonus! Nobody wanted to leave. On our last evening we got to use the grill and have a nice meal together on this beautiful property. Water was too cold for us to do any swimming with our little ones but this place sure would be nice in the summer months! We absolutely loved the view and the trees and the hammocks and rocking chairs and watching the deer! What beautiful country. Thank you for providing such a great place for a big family to stay!

Wonderful Getaway
Very clean and kid ready. Hazard free for our baby, plenty of toys, and a high chair. Great house and scenery and access to the river. Plenty of pillows, towels, toiletries, and various basic pantry needs. TV and internet were slow, so don’t expect to bring your Xbox or watch playoffs. We would love to stay again during the summer and spend some more time in the river right by the house. Would definitely call again, and our host was easy to reach if we needed anything, but the house was robustly supplied. 5 stars overall!

This property is at the top of our list of places we have stayed in the Hill Country. Even after encountering a problem with AC at checkin, It was all handled so quickly and without any issues. The house and property were even better than the photo's If you looking for a relaxing place just outside of Wimberly, don't hesitate to book here. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the river.

Beautiful house - river site not ideal for small kids
The house, front yard, back yard, porches, and fire pit are wonderful. The house was perfect for a ladies + kiddos getaway with myself, my sister, my cousin and our four toddlers. There was a great toy box for the kiddos, the double bunk beds were fun for them, and the kitchen was really well stocked. So the house is very kiddo friendly... except that the house's stairs leading down to the river end in deep water with no "beach" area. There's a nearby beach area that was pretty good for the kids, except the house's instructions warn that you're trespassing if you access that spot. (We used it anyways...) Also, it would have been good to know ahead of time that the house is on well water and we should have brought our own drinking water.

Extraordinary Gem on the Blanco
First of all, it was exceptionally clean. They need to pay their cleaning lady well! She even cleaned the grill and left an unopened dish scrubber for me to do the dishes with (which I have NEVER seen at any VRBO house before). There were tons of towels and hooks on the walls to organize things and let swimsuits dry. The toy area was incredibly handy for our toddler and 4 yr old. Also they have literally any accessory one could need for small children: playpen, baby gate, stroller etc. It is a wonderful place on the river to swim or set up in the rapids and chill. The only drawback for me, (and it’s a pretty big one seeing as if it was noted in the description - I missed it) was that there is NO ice maker. ***If you need ice for coolers or drinks be prepared to pack some from town*** And the grassburrs in the yard on the way down to the river were horrendous. Definitely needs to be fertilized and mowed regularly to combat those. They were awful picking them out of kids legs and towels and even the bathroom rugs from the renters before us. HOWEVER all around it is an amazing property and we would 100% absolutely rent again! You won’t regret it :)

Awesome!
We had a great stay. This house has it all. The views, river, those little things you forgot or didn’t think about packing. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking and even stuff for leftovers. There is plenty of room and lots of beds. We didn’t have babies but they had plenty of seats, pack and play, just stuff for babies that you need but it takes up so much room. Great seating on the porches. Hammocks, swings, places to hang wet stuff outside. ITS ALL HERE. This was a great stay. We cannot wait to be back!

Not a long term property
Best feature of the house was the kitchen..spacious and well stocked. However there was no closet for master bedroom. Not elderly friendly..6 steps to get into the house. It was suggested we buy water to drink. Internet is very slow and sporadic...very difficult to do business, banking, meetings etc. no network TV for news, weather etc. mail box is not on the property. This property might be OK for a short term stay, but would not recommend it for a long term stay.

Wonderful place to Stay!!
This house is very nice. The amenities were great. Home away from home! The scenery is awesome looking out the huge window towards the river and watching the deer eat the corn that was at the house to put out for them. If you are looking for lots of space and a great family getaway, this house is a great place to stay!! Me, my mom, my nieces and great niece loved our vacation time spent in Wimberley.

Beautiful, but beware of construction next door
Beautiful property, but unfortunately the neighbor has construction going on, so the peace and quiet we were seeking was filled with hammers and banging for the 3 nights/4 days we were there. It looks like the construction will be done in the next 3-4 months. We also found that the property lacked basic amenities like coffee for the Keurig. The house is very comfortable and view from the back deck is very peaceful when the construction is not going on.

The home is beautiful! The property is beautiful! The water is crystal clear! Our son had a lot of luck bass fishing in the morning and evening. There are so many options of spots for the whole family to sit and visit or hang in the hammock under the trees and relax alone. We had a very nice time and would recommend this to anyone.

Family Friends on the Blanco!
We met up with our dear friends for a short trip to the Blanco River. It was the perfect gathering place for us to enjoy one another’s company and introduce two of the teenagers to their first tubing experience. The house is beautiful and well appointed. Everything was easy. We brought our kayaks & tubes and launched from the backyard! We were able to tube the river each day down to a low water crossing. It ended up being about an hour and a half tube trip each day, but the pick up site was only a half mile from the house! The river was gorgeous, serene and exactly what we needed to safely enjoy time together during this pandemic. Thankfully the beds were super comfy too because we exhausted ourselves each day with lots of fun and laughter. We can’t wait for another visit!

Cute little house on the river
It was easy to find, looked just like the pictures online. It was a tad confusing on where we could swim and enjoy the water. We were told by some neighbors that we weren't allowed on the rocky beach area to set up some chairs and towels, even though there were pics of that area on the listing. So we just tried to steer clear of that spot but that left no where for our small kids to rest and relax, other than climbing the stairs and staying on the platform. Other than that and the grass needed to be mowed it was an excellent property.

Wonderful River House
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is perfect, well stocked and comfortable. The river is beautiful. The property doesn't have direct river access as advertised. (It's under construction). Therefore you have to borrow the access from the property next door. This wasn't clear by the listing and instructions. Also be cautious of the grumpy neighbor two houses downstream. He seems to think people can't travel the riverbed in front of his property. Otherwise, a great stay. We would go again.

Fun at the River House
We had a wonderful time at the River House. The house is large and well furnished. The kids toys and books were a real plus. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked due to the weather, but we were able to walk around when it wasn’t raining.
