Can't Beat the Price!

Our taxi driver had trouble finding this Super 8 hotel. It's tucked away down a side street, and a little around the corner from a main road. When we got out of the taxi, there was a distinct odor of human or maybe animal feces. I thought, "Oh dear! We can't stay here." But once we got into the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was clean and modern. The staff is very attentive. The rooms were okay. We had reserved two. Mine smelled of smoke and even airing it out didn't help. The other room was fine. Beds were comfortable enough, although not plush. Decent. The neighborhood is bustling and it's a short walk to Beiyuanmen Street, which is a crazy, busy, loud street of food vendors, pickpockets, and junk for sale. You cannot beat the price of this Super 8. Our rooms were about $35 U.S. each per night. An amazing deal.
