“Well located hotel within five minutes walk of the ferry port. An old fashioned style B and B with seemingly new owners (Opul Group). Rooms are large but maybe a little in need of a refresh. Everything clean. Breakfast included which was surprisingly excellent. Buffet style but even catered for us as vegans which was amazingly welcome. Well located for the town centre, next door to wetherspoons which can be loud on a weekend, but no huge problem.”

“Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others”

“Great view! Unfortunately the hotel is shabby at best and left us feeling conned, as the online description and suspiciously positive reviews paint a misleading picture. Peeling wallpaper and piles of bedding left in narrow hallways from one day to the next. No amenities other than a kettle and a TV - the cheap kettle had scalding steam coming out of the handle and the TV didn't work. No wifi. Grimy windows and flaking paint. The overall impression is of extreme penny pinching, and the……

“The Regency Hotel is a gem. It's a traditional, clean, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent facilities. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. Our room was large, clean, quiet and well equipped and we were very comfortable. Every one of the staff we saw were friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast was generous, well served and well presented. Parking was on street but we never had a problem finding a space near the hotel and this……

“The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. ”

“The hotel is very dated, not very clean and not maintained very well. Stayed there because it was a Best Western, but it wasn't of the same quality of a Best Western Hotel. The elevators were reliable, front desk not very friendly. Glad I was able to store my luggage prior to checking in to another hotel nearby for the TT races.”
