"We have been travelling throughout Sri Lanka staying in hotels for a couple of nights each time, this one was FABULOUS, from the moment you come through the gates, you feel that you're somewhere special, you are then presented with a beautiful turn of century colonial house, the room was HUGE with high ceilings and the biggest antique four poster bed you've ever seen, and matching furniture, the fully modern bathroom is accessed through and old antique door, and the waterfall shower was superb. We dined at the restaurant twice and found the food very good and well priced, we had opted for the continental breakfast, which was again very good, very highly recommended"

"Confortable bed, welcoming staff, in the centre of the city but quiet. Restaurant has good breakfast, pool area is very small, it wont fit more than 4 or 5 people at a time. Good hotel to explore Kandy."

"The proprietor and our host was "to avoid a pun" MARVELLOUS, the room was lovley and fully equipped, very clean with fully furnished traditional Sri Lankan furniture, bed was HUGE and very comfortable, our host could not do enough to make our few days in Kandy great, we also enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast"

"The bedroom was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. The bathroom was extremely damp and mouldy. Overall abit of a tired hotel. Staff are nice but couldn’t help me much with my issues or questions. There is a nice pool but a large party playing loud music and drinking had been allowed to sit by the pool so it felt uncomfortable to use the pool when I arrived. I paid more for a “Mountain View” room but I was told that didn’t really exist so I wouldn’t advise booking that and paying more for it."

Wish we had another day to spend in this hotel . The staff and manager went out of their way to serve us and beautifully decorated and very homely 👍.
