“I had an amazing one-night stay at Agnus Unawatuna in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The entire hotel was spotless and well maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and one of the best parts of the hotel was the stunning rooftop infinity pool with breathtaking views. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.”

“This property is a bit tucked away and not the easiest to access, but once you arrive, it’s well worth the journey. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to and from the main road is a thoughtful touch that makes getting around much easier. “Good location on the beach, and very good breakfasts, but everything in the hotel priced in US$ and ridiculously over priced eg spa treatments 4x the price of a v good national chain very close to the hotel. Food and drink at hotel v v expensive, and swimming pool no good for actually swimming in. Also no where in room or balcony to hang wet swimming stuff. I wouldn't stay here again - would save my money and go elsewhere”

“We had a very nice stay for two nights. Both pools are excellent, staff are very friendly, the room was clean and had modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent however, we had lunch at the hotel one day and it was only okay. There are a few monkeys around the property however, most never come into the actual hotel. For note, the hotel is based on top of a hill which is a very steep climb. While there is an outdoor lift for luggage and personal use, it does operate very slowly so the stairs……

“This was actually our second stay at Lum as when our flights were delayed we wanted a little haven to relax and enjoy our extra time in the South. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and everything about the complex made it feel like a lovely place to stay. Fresh, spacious, clean rooms that surrounded a relaxing garden and a beautiful pool area. We ate out for most meals but also sampled the breakfast and main menu here and all the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. I would……

“I would highly recommend Sergeant House. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and good air conditioning. Lots of welcome extras included such as insect repellent, cookies, robes, sunhat and beach towels. The hotel is in a great location but set back from the road so lovely and peaceful. The manager was really helpful in arranging tours and airport transfers”
