“The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful”

“Stayed at the George Washington in room 6 on 15th July. Room very nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer provided flatscreen tv and nice shower and towels. Had our evening meal here to very nice chicken madras and the homemade steak pudding washed down with some nice red wine. Very nice breakfast here full English very tasty and cooked to perfection well worth a stay at the Washington. Old school brewery just behind and the start of the Warton crag walk giving great……

“What gem of a place , for a solo traveller looking for an overnight stay this was brilliant. Lovely room , great break fast and a s great price .”

“Firstly l would point out the staff were excellent and were very helpful. However the room was not great. It was cramped and you had to move the tv (or duck under it) just to get to the bathroom. The road noise was constant despite double glazing. Also had to ask the lovely staff to change the stained pillow cases. When leaving at 10am check out time the place was still locked up, curtains pulled and deserted.”

“Caravan was very clean. Margaret was the perfect host who let us check in early snd also put some extra items in the caravan ready for when we arrived. There was everything we needed from all toiletries to an hairdryer. Lovely and quiet area. Also in walking distance to a lovely restaurant/bar called the Waters Edge. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.”

“On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no.”
