“Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1. Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc. We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney……

“We had a very warm informative welcome. The room was at the back which helped it be quieter when the private parties could be loud when they were on in the function room. It looks as if some updating is happening and needs new window frames and closers. The bed was comfy. Hospitality tray was great. In the bar the staff were great. You were served quickly and they kept the bar tidy. They were very friendly. We had bar sharing plate snack which was amazing. We didn’t have breakfast as not……

“A great base for walking or cycling. Friendly helpful staff. We had a twin room which was comfortable and had everything we needed. The set up works really well as the rooms are separate from the Inn with an entrance for residents to access the restaurant for meals. I would certainly recommend a stay. ”
