“Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. The home owners were very apologetic (no-one's fault) and did all they could……

“I had such a lovely and relaxing stay in this charming cottage. It has a wonderful old-fashioned character and history while still having everything you need for a comfortable stay. “Location was perfect. 5 minute walk to beach and old Shanklin. lovely and a very good sized house. Service from the Island company was great when we advised the rug smelt of dog likely from previous guest. Came and collected rug. Maybe just make it clearer there is a tight turning to access rear of property for parking. We had no issues but less confident driver may struggle but doesn’t detract from lovely stay in the property and week on the island.”

“The chalet was really nice with new and modern decorations. Sufficient of cookware and kitchen utensils. The location was perfect for the nearby beaches and local shops. The only downside was about the amount of toiletries. We had 4 people staying for 3 nights, but there were only 2 toilet rolls and tester-sized shampoo and shower gel. ”
