“We loved our stay at Cappabhaile. The room was huge with tasteful traditional touches. A fun game room. The first time I didn’t wake up in pain for years. In other words great bed. “This is an excellent location, about 15-20 minutes outside of Galway. The room was clean, included two twins and was comfortable. We were on the top floor which was up two flights of stairs, only annoying when bringing the luggage in. “Hotel was very nice overall. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant / bar area was very nice, although the food itself was average at best. The staff was as helpful as possible. “We booked for one night, and were looking forward to using the spa facilities. When we arrived, we were told that they were shut for refurbishment. Apparently, this work has been going on for some time. I was told an email had been sent out. I did not receive any email. The hotel has a duty to let people know such things, so they have a choice of changing their plans. I noticed a lot of unhappy people that weekend. They are not afraid to charge top prices, and yet offer very little in return.”
