“This was the perfect place for my group and our needs. Enough beds with options; a dark, quiet room in the basement, a shared room with a two full beds, the top floor king size suite, even a pull out sofa! All useful accommodations for a party of 5 or more. To top it off, the roof top hot tub with a city skyline view was incredible! It was a great location too, in walking distance to our venue in South Philly. Everything worked out perfectly, and I'm grateful that this option was available.……

“Expedia was fine. But this property was very fair. It was managed by Capital Hotel. A VRBO. I tried to call Capital Hotel before check in .. no call back. I did receive a check in text on a chat line that was monitored. Requested a later check out. None granted. The check in directions required that we read them 4-5 times to put all the pieces together. Also the place was advertised as a 2BR. When the check in info came in, it was noted as a one bedroom. “The only thing nice about the stay was the room was room was nice there was no one to greet you, there's no service desk, you have to pay $60 for parking and it's only four slots outside. Not a parking deck the second night we got ready to come back to park all four of the parking spaces with filled we call the number they told us they would take care of it. We found our own parking and we requested a refund for the nights parking that we were unable to use the parking space. You have to pay for……

“I truly advise spending a bit more money and staying elsewhere. This is beyond a ‘you get what you pay for’ type of experience. The worst issue with this entire experience is that the cleaning crew was not made aware of my late checkout that was verified and came into the room without knocking as I was undressed.. Before my arrival I asked about an early check in and was not given a clear answer so I was waiting outside the property for a response as there is no type of front desk which is fine……

“Everything was clean and comfortable. Our room was exactly as described. We accidentally triggered one of the locks, but the manager was super nice and took care of it promptly. (Thank you!!) I wouldn’t mind staying here again, as it was perfect for our stay in Philadelphia. I would definitely recommend!”

“Great location! We loved the neighborhood, the street, access to all kinds of wonderful restaurants, stores and transportation. The building was definitely a 200 year old building (lots of stairs), as it should be in that neighborhood. More attention could be paid to some of the minor items (sinks, kitchen appliances, bedside lamps, etc.). Nothing that a serious walk thru wouldn't take care of. But exceptional for the price and location. The management was responsive to issues as I made them……
