“The villa was in a private garden with a wall for security and parking inside the wall. A suggestion for improvement would be to incrrase the water pressure for the outside showers as it was difficult to wash my hair in the weak stream of water. “Buena vista is about 30 minutes from bacalar town so not an ideal location. The house is remote and in the jungle , very rough terrain getting in there Read all the small print , the house is only enclosed from the elements in the 2 bedrooms , the rest ( which is essentially just a tiny outdoor kitchen , no living room at all ) is totally open to the elements and the MOSQUITOES!!! We arrived to check in and were eaten alive in 5 minutes. There were also many wasps , a few in the bedroom. We left……

“La propiedad no es apta si viajas con alguna mascota, las cabañas son de tamaño pequeña solo para dos personas Max, al llegar pudimos notar que la habitación no había sido refrescada, no había papel de baño, shampoo etc. La cama es acogedora y el aire acondicionado estaba en buenas condiciones pudimos descansar. “Such a gem of a property, and exactly true to photos. I love to find unique places to stay and this choice was it! They tended to our needs quickly, and even came and cleaned and filled the pool while we were there so our boys could use it all day. The only fallback is it is 30 minutes away from Bacalar, so if you don't have plans to cook on your holiday (that was me) it is a bit of driving. But if you stock up with fruit from the road stands and some food before arriving, you will be glad……

“It was a fabulous unit! Loved the terrace for sitting out and reading my book. The rooftop pool was quiet and I soaked up all the sun up there! Easy access to everything! Very clean and modern unit! Highly recommend it and will stay there again! The bed was very comfortable!”

“Began witting this while in this locale... Another restless night. This rental is located 20 meters from Hwy 307, a main route north and south on the Mexican Carribean. The road noise is/was awful. We also listened to a water pump loudly whine all night the first night. I sent the host a notice that the pumps bearing was likely going out. They responded they knew and stated the pump had been disconnected. For one night we didn't hear the pump. Then the next two nights, our last two. I read……
