“Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Beautiful location in the heart of the New Forest with wild ponies roaming right outside. Dinner was also very good and a nice atmospheric room in the evening. ”

“Great except for one thing - they were closed from 3 to 5 in the afternoon with no way of getting a key to our room. It would be useful if they could devise a system so that keys are available in this critical time in the afternoon so that people can gain access to their room and relax before the facilities open at 5 PM. Other than the above, all was excellent. ”

“We enjoyed everything at the hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but I didn't mind that too much - it added to the charm because everything worked absolutely fine (shower, TV, kettle). The dining room is very grand and the food exceptional. The staff in the restaurant were super. Most of the staff elsewhere in the hotel were very good and welcoming.
