The vibe of this place is incredible. Every individual on staff was friendly and engaging, and mostly multilingual. I arrived early & they locked my bags away. It is the kind of lobby you could just hang out in. Nice coffee bar w/fresh pastries in the lobby. There's also a full bar. The music was upbeat and cool (soul, reggae, lofi rock & jazz). I would later learn that that is exactly what people do. The furniture was inviting and the lighting was great too. Every time I walked in the front door, I relaxed. Cantina Valentina had generous portions and delicious flavors. The restaurant staff was as welcoming and helpful as the front desk and the lobby bar. The room was perfect for a solo traveler/couple with a fluffy queen-sized bed and an enormous shower with excellent temp and pressure. Everything (electricity, gadgets, lighting, water, etc.) worked great. The style was laid back with even a tribute to the old building in the room by exposing some concrete beams. Wifi was strong throughout the building. I don't have any complaints. I will look for a Hoxton in every city I visit, hoping they all share the vibrancy and down-to-earth energy of the one in Brussels. The location is good. There's a part on the backside of the train station that is a little sketchy (sex shops, grimy) but its a short block. The hotel is adjacent to two wonderful parks. It is a relatively flat, 20-min walk to Grand Place

Felt safe as a female solo traveller. Lovely building and great staff. Unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to get to the rooftop bar, there was an event on for a couple days. Only criticism I have is that the pillows were not suitable for me (too soft) so I had to buy one

The property is in a very questionable neighborhood, lots of drugs going on in the park. The steps in front are not convenient when you are lugging luggage into the hotel and the service was terrible. Room Service was just gross. Overly spicy and most of the time cold as it arrives with no lids or covers. Save your money and stay across the way at the Doubletree. The rooms are very dated as well with no real Amenities. They state they have a convenience store on the property, which is not the case at all

Great hotel - loved it - although nearby area close to Brussels Nord train station is a little undesirable. Head out towards downtown Brussels and it’s fine.
